Would definitely stay again

Check in-process was wonderful; we arrived early they were able to store our bags until the house was ready. They even had a fresh key lime pie in the refrigerator waiting for us. Location is phenomenal, close to everything. Thank you for the memories!

We stayed for 18 nights and loved it!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in the nice cozy home in Truman Annex! It was perfect for us and our little dog Heidi…we enjoyed sailing, bike rides, long walks, relaxing by the pool and the occasional Key West bar! Excellent Time in Key West
The Bahamian Bamboo is an amazing property in the Key West Truman Annex. The home is beautiful, comfortable and close to many wonderful restaurants, Duval Street and the heart of downtown. Absolutely Perfect!

The Perfect Choice!

We rented Bahamian Bamboo in June for a girls trip.  This vacation home was just amazing! We were so happy with our choice. The home was beautiful and comfortable with an amazing pool! The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!!  It’s within walking distance to Duval Street and Mallory Square.  Shel responded to our questions immediately and took great care of us! Top Notch All the Way!

Our stay at Bahamian Bamboo was top notch. The house is beautiful, spacious and super clean. We really enjoyed being so close to everything but being far enough away that our street was quiet.

All of the staff that worked with us were very professional and truly helped to make our trip special. They planned tours, made restaurant reservations, gave suggestions about what to do and  what not to do. At check in, Shel met us at the house with a big smile AND a delicious Key Lime Pie. He and the rest of the staff really took great care of us!

Great for 2 Couples

The house is in a perfect location. It has a very private feel. It's great for 2 couples, with comfortable seating inside and by the pool. Beds are very comfortable too. Kitchen is well stocked with all you need for cooking, grill is in excellent condition. The covered parking spot fit our large SUV comfortably. The heated pool is larger than most in KW, and was delightful both day and night. The property manager was very responsive to anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location!

Gorgeous gated community! House was perfect for 6 people. Downstairs shower needs improving, no water pressure. Master bedroom is amazing. Heated pool was perfect for the time of year. Pool could use a little cleaning, and no sun. We used it a lot at night. Beach is just a 3minute bike ride away for lots of sun. If we had any issues they were quick to accommodate us. Overall it was a perfect place to enjoy Key West and all there is to offer.

We recently vacationed in Key West and stayed 3 weeks at the Bamboo Bahamian house. The house exceeded our expectations and provided our family with ample space. We loved being in the Truman Annex as it is generally very quiet and yet only a couple of blocks away from the liveliness of Duval Street. Everything ran smoothly and Shel made sure that our accommodations met our needs. He always went the extra mile to help us out and we truly appreciated his attention to detail and courteous manner.

It was amazing!

 

We stayed for a week in June at the Bahamian Bamboo property. Great location, walking distance to everything. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. We would 100% rent this again and stay in this house. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the close location to restaurants and Fort Zachary Taylor for snorkeling. They were fully stocked on all house supplies which is a great plus for me, a lot of places only put a minimum of toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, and you have to buy more but we never ran out here!! Nice not to have to stop enjoying your vacation to shop for that stuff. Concierge and all staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We rented Bahamian Bamboo for my daughter's wedding week

Everything in the house was absolutely amazing and perfect for all of our needs. Last Key and especially Shel were top notch! I will 100% rent through them again. As far as the house, the only thing I would suggest is getting the outside landscaping lights fixed as that would have been beautiful with all the lush palms at night while we were entertaining.

Walk to everything: shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach. The property management is excellent and very accessible. Shel was helpful, super friendly, and gave us great local info! Fabulous Time
My wife and I had a great time staying at Bahamian Bamboo. The amenities furnishings and location are excellent. The pool area was perfect for relaxing before leaving for dinner or enjoying the night air when we returned. Shel and Last Key are the only way to go. We have rented several houses in Key West over the years with widely different service provided. Shel and Last Key seem to only provide the very best homes and service that far exceeds all others.

We stayed at the Bahamian Bamboo property managed by Last Key Realty

It is a beautiful home, and was set up perfectly for our family of five. We enjoyed everything about it including the beautiful pool area with outdoor seating, comfortable living room, the generous bedrooms and office (sleeper sofa included), and a very well equipped kitchen. The concierge services helped us to prepare for our trip and we enjoyed spa appointments, jet ski tours, a fully stocked refrigerator, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Lastly, BIG COMPLEMENTS to Shel Segel. He met us at the home and gave us a tour. He provided a map of local landmarks and made recommendations for dinner. This is a top notch organization, with excellent team members waiting to make your trip to Key West an amazing one. We will be back!

One of the best trips ever!

Thanks to kind and professional Key Realty team specially Shel and Cecilly for their help. They received us with 2 delicious key lime pies!!! We were amazed how fast they respond to any thing we may needed. The Bahamian Bamboo is a little heaven; very well equip with any thing you may need. From all kind of spices to kids water toys; fresh beach towels; cooler; printer; bbq and more. Best location as it's 5 min bike ride to amazing Fort Zac Taylor beach and downtown. All you need will be walking distance or with bike. The pool is so nice with a cute fountain which makes the garden so relaxing. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden and listen to the fountain! Rooms are good sizes; comfortable beds and all decorated nicely. We had a hard time to say good bye to Bahamian Bamboo and definitely will return again.

Fantastic, beautiful, and private home

Pool was great. The neighborhood was safe and well maintained. Great for walks with dogs. Only negative - it was noisy, lots of workmen, landscapers, trash & delivery trucks. The home is dog friendly and fully fenced however there can be no barking outside.

Nothing wrong with Bamboo!

When we first got there, I was amazed at just how beautiful this neighborhood is. It is a gated community that must be one of the nicest in Key West. The house was meticulously clean and more importantly very well appointed. The outdoor (heated) pool was very welcoming on both the sunny and cloudy days. The proximity to the bustling areas of town, Duval street and Mallory Square, is a mere few blocks. No need for a car. It is also important to note that Last Key Realty (The real estate company who handles this property) has a concierge service that is second to none. I also shout out to our personnel representative Shel who made our stay very enjoyable. Needless to say, I look forward to getting back to the Bahamian Bamboo or any other rental in that neighborhood. Thanks again Shel and to the owner who we did not meet.

The Bahamian Bamboo with Last Key Realty was an amazing home away from home for our family during our stay in Key West! The house had 3 full bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which was perfect for the 3 couples we had staying. The pool in the back yard was way bigger than we imagined from the pictures and we had it heated each day to become our little private hot tub. The back yard area is very private and all the landscaping made us feel as if we were in a private oasis surrounded by palms. We would definitely us Last Key Realty and our house manager Shel when we return to visit Key West!

Excellent

The house, grounds, and pool were perfect. Loved the decor and furnishes. The concierge service was very helpful. And the real estate agent, Shel, greeted us upon our arrival and had a delicious key lime pie in the fridge for us. Which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I ended up forgetting to pack the clothes I had put in drawers and Shel had them mailed to me before I even unpacked my luggage. Super nice and super accommodating. We will definitely be returning next year.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

I just returned from a wonderful 10 day vacation in Key West at Bahamian Bamboo, a beautiful home managed by Last Key Reality. Shel, the amazing agent in charge of the property, met us at the house to give us a guided tour & go over the details listed in 2 handy binders. He was very patient in answering our questions & very helpful with restaurant suggestions. He even offered to drive us to the grocery store! A few days into our stay, he sent a text asking how everything was going & when I sent a text a few days later, he replied promptly. Then he sent a text the day before we left. This property is beautiful & in a great location in Truman Annex & the service provided by Shel & Last Key Realty was superb. I highly recommend staying here.

Pure Luxury

Bahamian Bamboo was a beautiful home in the luxurious gated community of Truman's Annex. We were a group of 3 couples vacationing in Key West. The house accommodated us nicely and had everything we would ever need and the location is perfect. No car needed. Shel was the perfect host with getting all of our groceries and supplies ahead of time, he was simply the BEST!. One minor suggestion, would be to advise guest that the first floor bedroom shares a bath with the main living area and if right off the kitchen, so privacy is limited for the guest using that bath. But our vacation was fabulous, I would highly recommend Key West, Bahamian Bamboo and Shel at Last Key Realty.

Great place to stay

Great location

Our family stayed in the Bahamian Bamboo for a week. We enjoyed the convenient location with the safety of being in a gated neighborhood. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The pool is mostly shaded but was refreshing after a hot day in the sun. Very clean and comfortable.

A beautiful house in a great location!

The house is spacious, well decorated, comfortable and clean. It also offers virtually complete privacy and its location in Truman Annex is ideal - far from the tourist noise but an easy walk everywhere. Awesome Property!
We stayed here during our wedding week. Parking was a breeze with the covered garage. The Pool and waterfall along with the backyard was the main meeting spot for our guests. Being in Truman Annex is so nice and quiet and feels like you're far away from it all yet you're very close to everything! Simply put, best vacation ever!

Second time staying here. It is very expensive but worth it for the peace and tranquility it provides! Great location. Great ambiance. It is clean and well maintained. The backyard tropical vegetation is amazing with a delightful pool situated right in the middle! Having covered parking was really nice! Can't wait till I come again! Shel was there as the perfect host eager to help even with the simplest request. He makes you feel safe and is just a phone call away if you need anything! I have stayed at over 30 different places in Key West and this is by far the best!!!

Great property with perfect location

The Truman Annex is possibly the best location to stay in old Key West. The Bahamian Bamboo residence is a few blocks from the Truman White House, Hemingway home, Duval Street, Mallory SQ, great restaurants and a short walk to the busy marina area. Our family of six, all adults, stayed here during the first week in February. All of us were pleased with how comfortable the house was and the amenities within. The first floor bedroom residents may be inconvenienced by having to use the first floor bathroom which is not connected to the bedroom. The prime time rental cost is worth it considering location, comfort and the alternatives.

We loved our stay at Bahamian Bamboo

We have rented homes before, this residence was by far the nicest one. The rooms were large for our adult children. A small office off of the master was perfect for our little grand baby so mom and dad could get a good nights sleep. Shel was very helpful with great places to rent bikes, restaurants off of the the grid, and even the best baby toy rentals ever! Within walking, running, biking to beaches, restaurants etc. I like this side of the island the best!

Amazing stay

We rented this home for Thanksgiving week. It was my husband and I and our 3 sons who are in their early twenties. It was perfect for us. Close enough to walk to Duval St. and all the action but secluded in the Truman Annex where it was very quiet and secluded. The pool was great for everyone to use. The decor of the house was very tastefully done and the house was very clean. Shel met us upon arrival and oriented us to everything in the house. He was very helpful and kind. He even texted us the next day to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely rent this home again.

Great house and neighborhodd !!!

Bahamian Bamboo was a fantastic place for our son's wedding week. We had 7 adults and 2 babies, and had more than enough room. The backyard pool made for great fun morning , afternoon, and evening. The neighborhood was so private, and gave us time away from the crowds during the day, but only 5 minutes from Duval St. When we wanted to take advantage of it. Shel of Lastkeyrealty made our stay perfect. He was there to answer all questions, make recommendations, and even stop by when we had a TV Cable problem. Shel knows the town and made us all feel welcome. I will be back to Bahamian Bamboo in Truman Annex.

This is a beautiful nicely decorated 3 bedroom home

Over the last 15 years I have rented a home in Key West every year and sometimes twice a year so I know a nice rental and this was the best one bar none. First of all the service provided by Shel at Lastkey Realty was what took the stay over the top. They pay detail attention about any and all issues that might and do arise with any stay in Key West. Help with anything was just a phone call away. The compound itself has a large, by Key West standards, pool with beautiful tropical foliage and covered patio areas both good from escaping the sun and the rain. The bamboo theme throughout was welcoming and the furniture was beautiful. This will be the next rental for 2017 without a doubt.

Very nice house in a (mostly) quiet neighborhood

We have enjoyed our time here greatly. The neighborhood is quiet as befits a gated community. You don't have to walk far to be in the heart of Key West, be it the beautiful homes and neighborhoods of Old Town, the funkiness of Bahama Village, or the nearly non-stop party of Upper Duval.

Walking a bit further takes you to Southernmost Point. A few extra blocks east will take you to the Eaton St Seafood Market, one of my favorites. Stone crab season is only a few weeks away! A few hundred yards east of Southernmost is Louie's Backyard, another favorite. Keep going and enjoy a drink or two by the pool at Casa Marina.

Back to the house - I'd call it two and a half bedrooms, but the downstairs is fine for the kids. The Master suite is very nice upstairs. The neighbor is nosy and seems to enjoy working on the roof of his carport.

The management company, Last Key Realty, has been a pleasure to work with. Shel is the best!

The house is even better than the pictures!

It was better than we expected! The rooms are spacious and the house well appointed, especially the kitchen. The pool was quaint, but our party of 6 enjoyed. Shel, the property manager, met us at arrival and departure. We are seasoned Key West travelers with over 25 trips under our belt and this was the best! The dryer broke during our stay and Shel had our laundry picked up and and taken care of and delivered in less than a couple of hours. We had the kitchen stocked before arrival and that was wonderful. I did yoga on the covered patio. We watched the Olympics on the big flat screen and made frozen drinks and sat on the 4 balconies/patios. We will stay again!

This Gorgeous house is it!

This little house packs a punch!!! Not so little... 3 bedrooms 3 full baths, a beautiful setting for honeymooners or family!!!! So close to everything you want to be in Key West!!! It's a private villa nestled among luscious trees, breezy and calm... Great size rooms, we were 6 people and we were very comfortable! All new appliances, and a great staff!!! Mr. Shel Segel "Guest Service Coordinator Extraordinaire" and I mean it! Will wait upon your arrival where he will help you with baggage, questions, addresses of where to buy food, etc., maps the whole thing! He will not leave before he explains EVERYTHING about the house, where to find pool lights, anything! This company has CONSIERGE service!!! you can call just like a hotel and your questions are answered!! You can have the privacy of a house and the convenience of a 5-star hotel!!! My family and I will definitely call back next year and have them find us a beautiful house, instead of a week maybe a month, because once you are in Key West and with this kind of service it's the ultimate PARADISE!!!! Thank You Shel!!! You made ALL the difference NEVER have we met someone as open and ready to accommodate our family and it was a super vacation!!!!!

Our recent stay in Key West Florida

Our experience with this rental was the best we have ever had in the span of the past several years of family vacations. Last Key resorts made the entire experience effortless and fun beginning with our initial contact and reservation. The staff were more than helpful and responsive with the arrangements for the rental. As soon as we arrived we were met by Shell Segel who managed the property and was cheerfully and immediately responsive to any question or request. He even drove my son to a parking place to fetch his car and had offered to meet us if we had been flying in at the airport. He is gracious and friendly and knowledgeable. The very beautiful home was in wonderful condition and its very central and convenient location added to the overall appeal. It's difficult for me to express our complete satisfaction for an absolutely wonderful experience in a beautiful home managed by a terrific professional and focused organization. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It was the most comfortable, well appointed, and aesthetically pleasing house. The mattresses are great. The kitchen is well supplied. There's plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Every room has a private balcony or patio as well as its own full bath. The pool is awesome. The concierge service is an amazing plus for a house rental, as such service usually comes only with a hotel stay. Shel, our concierge, was so helpful and responsive and kind.  The location in the gated Truman Annex could not be better, as it was quiet, safe, and close to Duval St. and any other typical tourist attraction you'd want to go to, including the nearby beautiful Fort Zachary Taylor park, one of the best locations to view the sunset, picnic, and lounge on the beach. We rented bikes and could travel easily wherever we wanted to go from the house.

Outstanding & Beautiful! Perfect for a family.

We loved Key West & this house was in the perfect spot. Very close to everything in Old Town & the amnesties were outstanding. The perfect Christmas holiday! Shel was our main guy (manager)to welcome us to our home & always making everything pleasant & very informative. He came instantly whenever we needed help. He was great to work with! Hope to return again! The pool was great! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. We did the seaplane trip to Fort Tortuga that was awesome. Take the first flight out so you have the island to yourself before the ferry arrives. Rent bicycles!  Spend a day at the Fort Zachary Beach. Go to the Duvall Street for lots of fun. Enjoy the lay back life. The Basilica of Mary was beautiful & Mass with open side doors in December is heavenly!

Stunning!

Oh my! The experience of renting this home for three weeks in January 2015 was absolutely wonderful. The great experience began even before we arrived as we were introduced to Shel, our representative from Last Key Realty. Shel gave us invaluable advice on fun things to do in Key West so that we could preplan lots of fun activities.  He was also there upon our arrival and went over key details of the rental home with us.  And, wow! The rental home was absolutely gorgeous. We were so comfortable - the house was immaculate. I was so thankful that there were some welcoming provisions in the house. It was great to sit down and have a cup of tea upon arrival. The house opens up so beautifully so that you feel like you're living outside -- we barely ran the air conditioning. I called Shel when we wanted to turn up the pool heat and he had that taken care of within 3 hours and also called when the water filter on the frig needed some minor service.  He had that fixed in 45 minutes. I cannot recommend Last Key Realty more highly -- and I hope you're lucky enough to have Shel as your representative while you're in town. He made us feel welcome and confident in our decision to rent this property. Yes, the rental rate is expensive (like all good rentals on the island) but it felt like a very top-end experience. I went to rent this home again for Jan and Feb when we returned home, but unfortunately it was already booked! After this great experience, I hope to work with Last Key to find another property.

Perfect winter vacation property!

Pictures do not do this wonderful home justice- what an incredible vacation property. We stayed here from Jan. 31- Feb. 15, 2015 with 6 people and there was plenty of room for all of us to have a dream vacation. Our favorite feature of 510 Emma was the heated private pool and the beautiful open-concept kitchen and living room attached to it. We also loved that the two upstairs bedrooms have walk out balconies- we miss having morning coffee overlooking Emma Street! Prime location puts this property over the top. It is situated in a quiet, gated community that provides a safe and relaxing sanctuary for rest and relaxation. However, it is also steps from entertainment, night life, shopping, groceries, movie theatre and of course Duval Street.

If you are reading this and you are fortunate enough to be able to stay at this awesome property, you ought to know that the best feature is the property manager, Shel. Wow, is all we can say. He took care of every detail and made the trip a dream come true.

Shel, if you're reading this, don't let your head get too big! Just kidding. Thank you for such a great 'eat-see-do' list. After reading up on your recommendations, we felt *almost* like locals, which is the best part of Key West Living. You are a reflection of all things that make Key West great.

Wonderful property in an outstanding location

This is a high-quality, well maintained property. The on-line pictures accurately reflect the nice furnishings and luxury amenities. The location in the Truman Annex is ideal. It's just a few blocks from Duval St. but it's a quiet, calm neighborhood. The landscaping around the pool makes it feel very private. Shel, the property manager, provided helpful insider advice regarding restaurants, grocery stores, bike rentals and more. 

We have already recommended this house to our friends. It was a great vacation rental.

Amazing Key West style home!

We stayed at the Bahamian Bamboo rental property from 3/14/15-3/21/15. We were looking for a location that could accommodate 5 adults and a 1-year-old. The property was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. I reached out to the rental company and they were very prompt in getting back to me and helping to arrange our stay. The property was absolutely stunning. Very clean, spacious, and easy to walk to town. We were more than pleased with our choice. We worked with Shel at the rental company and he was very easy to work with. He was very accommodating as I had questions about renting baby items, parking, activities, etc. Shel was very excited to meet us and always willing to do what it took to make sure we had a wonderful vacation.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a house to rent in Key West. The location in Key West is perfect, the neighborhood is quiet, and the service (and concierge) was perfect. We used the concierge service quite often to plan our activities such as sunset catamaran cruise and dinner reservations. Definitely somewhere we will return to on our next trip to Key West!

The Perfect Place in Key West

We have been coming to Key West since the 70's. We usually stay at the Reach. This year we decided to rent a home. We had a great time in the Bahamian Bamboo. The location in the Truman Annex was perfect. The home was clean and nicely decorated, just like the pictures. The location and the pool were the deciding factors in choosing this place. What we were not expecting was how attentive Shel Segel, the property manager was. He stopped by three times to check on us! We appreciated the prompt service when the A/C broke down. I would recommend this home and stay there again. Thanks Shel for making us feel welcome.

Wonderful home

Our rental vacation experience was very positive. We were extremely pleased upon arrival; in fact, we didn't think the website photos did the property justice. The rooms were all very tastefully decorated. This luxury home was a wonderful change of pace from our usual condo rental. We were impressed with the pool. It was wonderful. We stay all over the world and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing location very close to Duval Street.

Bahamian Bamboo was amazing. Quite, nicely furnished. Close to Duval Street but you would never know it for how quiet the property was. And, they allowed us to bring out dogs! Our only regret was we could not stay longer. Next year!

Family Vacation!

Our family of 6 traveled to Key West in May of 2015. We loved our trip and this house was great! Plenty of room for all of us. We loved the pool and the open layout in the living area so our whole family could be together at one time. Our only complaints would be they weren't very clear about the downstairs bedroom its small and it does not contain a closet like we were told it would be. And also since we drove down in a car and rented scooters we were told we could park our scooters and golf cart in any open parking spaces and this is definitely not the case in the Truman annex there is only one parking spare per house. We had a plumbing issue when we first arrived we believe leftover from the last guest but we called for help and they sent someone right away and got it fixed. Other than these few hiccups we had a great trip and look forward to coming back hopefully this summer!

5 STAR CONCIERGE SERVICE!

What a fabulous time my husband, my dog, and I had in Key West!  Our house, Bahamian Bamboo, was absolutely perfect! The layout enabled us to spend most of our time outside at the pool while being close to the den and kitchen. And I was thrilled with how clean everything was. However, the absolute best thing about the entire week was our concierge, Shel! He went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect for us, he stored our luggage when we arrived early, delivered the luggage to the house while we were having lunch, had a list of restaurants to suggest, spent time making sure we understood the operations of the house, answered our questions throughout the week... AND LOVED OUR LITTLE MALTIPOO, BAILEY. I cannot say enough about his congeniality and his service.

I would definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely stunning home!

This property is one of the finest we have stayed at!  If you are looking for a gorgeous home that is within walking distance to EVERYTHING, then this is the home you want. It has a backyard that is very private and tropical. The house itself is very warm and inviting and had everything we could need. Shel the property manager was always available to offer suggestions and to help with any questions we had. We actually extended our stay 2 nights because we loved it so much. We will be returning very soon!!

Quiet Oasis Steps From Everything in Key West!

This house is a perfect getaway vacation home! The pictures can't do it justice, but it has everything you would need in the three bedrooms, three baths. There was even a little study off the master bedroom that was perfect for our one-year old's crib. The pool and pool area were great and very relaxing, and the property is expertly maintained by Shel and the Last Key Realty group. Everything we needed was offered or provided. I would vacation at any of their properties as they are top notch service-oriented, but this place is a real gem, very close to whatever you fancy in Key West, but nice and quiet when you are done for the day.

We have stayed with Last Key for many years in Key West. Our trip this year was the first time we stayed in Bahamian Bamboo. The house was incredible. We love the privacy Truman Annex gives you but also being so close to everything is great. We just can’t say enough good things about Shel. Perfect Haven

I spent a very relaxing month at Bahamian Bamboo. The house is a perfect Key West retreat. The owner and management have taken care to keep the property in excellent condition. I had thought after a month; I would be ready to leave... not the case.

Shel, the property manager, is superb. He's always there if and when you need him. Last Key Realty runs a well-managed operation. During my stay, I had two minor problems and Jamie, the handyman, appeared and fixed them quickly. I have previously used Last Key Realty and don't think I would use anyone else.

For me, Truman Annex is the most ideal place to stay in Key West. It is a peaceful haven just a few blocks from all the activity on/off Duval.
