Perfect Place!

Right off Duvall St, this is the perfect place! We did not need a car once we used Uber from the airport in Key West. Great recommendations for eateries were listed in the room binder. It was HOT, but the A/C was wonderfully cool. The coffee pot was a nice touch and used each morning. A really great place!

This felt like a private resort just off Duval Street

We loved our stay and would certainly come back. Everyone at Last Key was excellent - seems like they run a smooth operation. Lots of great advice too. Super walkable location (and you still get a guaranteed parking spot!). Everything was really fantastic.

 

The only things I’ll note for other guests that may be tricky to see in the listing are: - You’re effectively renting two separate suites stacked on top of each other. There’s an outdoor covered staircase to get to the upstairs entrance. - There’s limited privacy in the upstairs shower. Even with the folding privacy panel, someone could see in unless they stay by the balcony and face away from the mirror - The pool is right in front of the sliding glass doors to the lower bedroom. We weren’t on the property much during the daytime but we only saw the owners using the pool area once. You do have blackout curtains.

Everything we wanted and more

Luxurious. Clean. The shower downstairs was amazing and it was the perfect setup for us and our two teen girls. Would be perfect for two couples as well. We loved it and will be back!

Exactly what we were hoping for

Even with being a few steps away from the business of Duval, the seclusion of the property with its well thought out landscaping provides a quiet and peaceful environment to relax after walking the town. We LOVED our stay!

The Darling of Duval is absolutely amazing and completely exceeded our expectations. It is a hidden gem, secluded in a gorgeous back garden but somehow within a block of Duval and the gorgeous downtown area. Ksenia was friendly, communicative and helpful. I am convinced it is the best spot in Key West!

The property was beautiful and conveniently located. Walking distance to everything. Appreciated the private parking space since we rented a car. Keshia was a pleasure to meet. So kind of her to buy us a key lime pie.

 

Use the Last Key concierge team! - Patrick was so pleasant to work with and took care of all the details regarding things we wanted to do while in Key West. From snorkeling to parasailing he booked the times and made it seamless for us.

Private paradise in the heart of Key West!

The property and its location cannot be beat. Just steps from Duval St. and a short walk to many area attractions and restaurants, we enjoyed taking in Key West by foot. The guest cottage lived up to its description nestled within the owner's property with two beautiful, spacious and well-appointed suites. Morning coffee on the balcony and evening drinks in the hot tub were highlights of our stay. Samantha from Last Key was a terrific host providing communication prior to our arrival thru checkout. She was very friendly and responsive, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay.

Exceptional

This gated property is in the perfect location, one block from Duval. Many restaurants and bars are right around the corner. This property is exceptional. As previously mentioned by others you have to pass a beautiful pool and landscaped area to get to your cottage, but the pool is not available to renters which is a shame. We enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon where there a a cool breeze each day. Although clearly stated, we did not realize that each bedroom is totally separate, using outside stairs to get to the upper bedroom. It worked for two couples. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Have a great time and relax!

We loved our stay and the location could not be beat. Both living spaces were clean and all equipment worked well. Samantha and Laura were extremely knowledgeable, a lot of fun, and helpful.

I do recommend this home as it is gate access and secure. The back patio and hot tub were a big hit. The key lime pie in the fridge was very nice and tasted great. As I mentioned earlier, location was incredible, as you could walk to the beach, cruise ships, dinner, and many great sights. The bike tour was fun and we all had a blast on the kayak tour. We enjoyed First Flight for drinks and lunch.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed here for a business trip, and it was great to use the back patio for meetings and be close to everything. The property management is amazing, I would hire them for my property if I had one! The pool/garden area is QUITE the tease, however it is clearly stated in the listing so can't fault them there.

we had a great time. house was clean and very nice. location was perfect, steps away from what's going on. the house sets back away from the street for privacy, it has great off the road parking behind private gates. our contact Samantha was great. checked on us several times. the house sets on a private estate and just a short walk to the guest house where we stayed.

In the heart of the fun!

Everything was exactly as listed - great guest house in beautiful garden setting, extremely close to restaurants and nightlife. The only negative is that I’m somewhat of a light sleeper, and the upstairs did get some noise from the music on surrounding properties (which is what you’d expect given the proximity to Duval).

Truly Darling

Start to finish, flawless. Storing our luggage until check-in was a very nice perk. Very comfortable bed and linens. Plenty of fluffy towels. Amazing shower, nice patio space. So close to everything but so quiet inside. The landscaping is gorgeous. With the two identically appointed floors and exterior access, it was perfect for sharing with friends while having privacy too. Everyone with Last Key was great. We can not wait to come back.

Centrally Located Perfection

This property was perfect for our two-couple Key West getaway! The location was right in the heart of the Duval Street activity, easy walk or bike to everything we wanted to do. Set back from the street with gated access for privacy and safety. Well-appointed interior and the exterior landscaping was beautiful. Hot tub was great temp and well maintained. Stunning Property & Great Communication

First off, the communication from the rental team was spot on and absolutely wonderful. Very friendly! I knew exactly what to expect, and when to expect it. The property itself was as advertised, and a stunning property at that. The location was steps from Duval, and also close to many attractions. We walked the entire length of our trip, and never felt the need for a car for any reason. We had a great stay and looking forward to returning very soon!

A Truly Memorable Stay

Darling of Duval is a well-deserved title by all measures. Our accommodations were consistently above standard. Location truly the best to experience the rich history of Key West. The richness of our experience was deepened with a little research of the history of this house and information offered by walkers who stopped to visit. I suspect we weren’t the stars they were expecting! It is a bit pricey, by our standards, but well in line with other facilities in Key West. Not being allowed access to the pool was a downer with no one else on the property. It is an understandable family preference and likely driven by liability concerns. (Yet another gift from the lawyers we see plastered all over Florida billboards!) I wish more Hemingway had rubbed off on me to permit a richer review. As refugees from the frozen North, we can only say it was, in every way, a memorable stay.

An Absolutely Beautiful Property

Accommodations were perfect for two couples traveling together. Plenty of privacy with a nice gathering spot to plan our day. Location was outstanding! Right off Duval in the middle of everything. Also, across the street from one of our favorite spots for live music - Hanks Hair of the Dog Saloon and Garbo's Grill.

 

Samantha, our guest service coordinator, assisted with a smooth check in and was in contact with us throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The property is a true Old Town Key West location. A short walk to restaurants, bars, historic spots made it very easy to get around.  The guest cottage consists of two studio-style suites, one on each floor.  This made it very easy for two couples to share the property and still have privacy. The 5 star accommodations made us very comfortable and relaxed.  We plan to go back to this location on our next trip back to Key West.  Samantha was very helpful and made sure we had all the information we needed.  I will suggest Last Key Realty to everyone.  Thank you!

Amazing Location

You cannot beat the location. 2 separate living quarters. It’s totally private. Would stay here again for sure:). I probably would not stay with kids here though as you cannot use the pool (as it's part of the main house and not with this rental) and I know they would want to. Equipped with anything you could need.

Perfect Location for Fun!

This property is perfect for staying near the funnest and most entertaining parts of Key West. It is literally a few strides from Duval Street (walk out the gate, take a right, and you are there; live music is across the street, Mallory Square is a few hundred yards away [you get it]). The place was immaculate and ideal for two couples per unit, or small families. We will definitely try to get this property again for a few days during our next visit.

The PERFECT Spot!

This is the perfect place to stay in Key West!  It was our first time visiting & this property was secluded & private, yet so close to all of the fun on Duval Street. We traveled with friends & the set-up was perfect for us. Great Location & Great Property

Great location for walking around Duval St where all the nightlife and restaurants are! No parking hassles as your car is secured behind locked gate. Each floor is perfect for couples and soundproof from the bustle of town!  Couldn’t use the pool but otherwise perfect and we would stay again!

Best of Both Worlds

Easily within walking distance of the must see Duval St favorites but peaceful mornings and evenings on the property perfect for those not into the nightlife. Mallory Square and the Historic Wharf a short walk. The property itself is beautiful. Both rooms are nicely made up, beds were comfortable and the modern showers were perfect after long day of being outside taking in the site's. Definitely on the family list of places we would stay again!

Wonderful stay
We fully enjoyed our stay at the Darling of Duval. It was spotless and in a great location. Rooms were stocked for us and had everything we needed. So close to everything but tucked away just enough for some nice quiet time. The owners were great and were there to meet us and gave us good tips for places to go and things to do. Where you stay is tucked back behind their main home which is a beautiful home. Parking on premises behind a locked gate. Loved that we could walk everywhere. Samantha at Last Key Realty was very nice and responsive to any questions we had. Would stay there again when we go back to visit.

Gorgeous, comfortable, super clean & great location!

We booked “Darling of Duval” vacation rental through Last Key Realty and can not say enough wonderful things about Last Key Realty nor about our fantastic rental home!  Last Key Realty has their “service” game together.  From the moment I booked through them they were offering suggestions and answering questions about our visit.  They are the most professional and accommodating agency I have ever dealt with for a vacation rental.

If you are going to Key West ..... just call and let them plan your trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, just as beautiful as the pictures show. The property sits just a block off Duval street so we enjoyed super easy access to everything, but the cottage was nestled in enough to have privacy and quiet. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

What a great location. Guest house on estate lot tucked away in the middle of all the action. Such a convenient spot. House was clean and as advertised. One thing to note is the off limits pool is literally 3 steps away from this guest house. No problem for adults but hard to tell that to a 3 year old that wants to go in it the whole time! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

January breezes in the Keys

We had a wonderful stay at this property and want to come back. It was literally the MOST perfect location even though we were first timers in the Keys, we quickly saw what a great location it was...would highly recommend it to anyone. We had wonderful meals all over the Keys and loved Hank's saloon just about 20 yards away from our gate...great music and amazing food truck goodies and short walk home...house is well protected from the noise and we experienced very restful nights. This spot is a gem...we will come back to the Keys and stay here again. Last Key concierge service was very helpful in making our reservations all over the island and we did Fort Jefferson day trip-highly recommend that too.

Amazing place!

This property is perfect! No detail was overlooked. The location right off Duval St. is great for lively entertainment but the house is also secluded and private. Perfect stay in Key West

We rented both units and everything was as described - very nice and clean. The property is right in the middle of everything; close to all the action and restaurants but tucked in behind the main house and away from any bar noise. It is probably the best location to stay in Key West. If there is any negative to the property it is the UV light from the A/C units that shines directly onto both beds. I didn't mind it but my wife had a problem with it. However, she used one of those face masks that you take on the plane and then she was fine. All in all, place, location, setting.. everything was perfect. We will not think twice to book this place next time we are in Key West.

Unfortunately, there is no way of eliminating the UV light from the A/C, which sterilizes the air handler coils, without turning the A/C power off. To ensure the UV light is not an issue for future guests, we provide two sets of disposable eye masks in each bedroom.

Amazing

We rented both the upper and lower units. Both newly furnished and beautiful. Location is superb, 1/2 block from Duval St. Too many good restaurants and bars to list here. You will find them starting with Hanks Hair Of The Dog Saloon across the street.

Quiet Getaway

This place is the best in Key West. Located just off Duval and in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the stay. It was very secluded and quiet. The house was on a property with the owner who was so gracious and accommodating. We will be back in the future.

After originally planning to attend lobsterfest that was canceled, we decided to brave the trip to KW bc everyone still needs a little paradise. ?So glad we picked this beautiful gem - 5 star accommodations, top notch mgmt service, and about the best location possible in KW. Great Location!

The location of this place is just awesome if you want to be in the heart of Duvall Street! Right next to The Bull and The Abbey. I was worried about the noise being so close to all the live music venues... couldn’t hear a thing with the doors and windows closed. It’s a beautiful property and the rooms were very comfortable and the concierge Service is a nice touch! Highly recommended!

Oasis off Duval

Fabulous cottage located just off Duval within walking distance to everything. Very nice, clean and beautiful. Everything we needed for a perfect vacation for two couples.

5-Star Weekend

Our experience with Last Key was outstanding, Sam was both personable and professional. Sam met us upon arrival and provided us with valuable recommendations and yummy wine and Key Lime pie. She, as well as the entire concierge team, was available throughout our stay, if needed. Our rental in Key West, Darling on Duval, was perfect. It was beautiful, just as advertised, and in the perfect location. We would definitely stay there again. It was a 5-star weekend in every way.

A hidden treasure in the heart of Key West

What an amazing location, beautiful surroundings, just right

Tucked away in the back of a surprisingly enormous property right in the heart of downtown Key West (corner of Caroline and Duvall). Walk to everything, but just faintly hear music when it's time for sleep. So many lush trees and plants that it's still secluded. Just you and those funny Key West roosters. We'll definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back.

The nicest place I've ever stayed in. By FAR
This place is so incredibly special. It is really hard to describe the sense of peace and beauty you get just entering the lovely grounds, passing the historic main house and go to your two story guest house at the back of the property. It has two HUGE suites that are both so nice you will want to stay forever. We met our friends from Tennessee here. It is really difficult to find a place in Key West with two king beds and two full bathrooms. This place was on the more expensive side but so extremely worth it. Even my 'frugal' husband liked it so much he never asked the price. The rooms are each gorgeous with beautiful bathrooms and great little kitchenettes. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. The AC works really well. Best of all, LARGE icemakers in the mini-fridge!!! Lovely balcony off the upper room, beautiful patio on the lower level. So quiet and relaxing yet half a block off Duval and where the action is. We walked everywhere and never moved the car during our stay. You have lost your mind if you don't stay here. I want to go back already. Our gracious host came over and introduced himself and seemed truly happy to have us there. Thank you for such an incredible experience!!!

Can't beat this location, right off Duval St

Incredible house in the middle of the action. Only wish we could have used the pool, but had a great time using the hit tub and grilling our fresh catches from the ocean. Would definitely recommend!

Location is perfect and the house is amazing

We stayed at the Darling of Duval the week of March 18th and it was phenomenal. Plenty of room and has such a Key West laid back vibe to it. Samantha of Last Key Realty was top notch. She was such a pleasure to deal with and made everything so easy from checking in, storing our luggage until check-in and recommendations on things to do. Will book Darling of Duval for our next trip!!

AWESOME!!!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!....perfect location! Great for 2 couples. We had everything we needed, including the security of being on a gated property. Beds were extremely comfortable, very clean and inviting. When we checked in, we met Samantha, who was FANTASTIC to work with. Only thing I wish we had, were a few more days! Definitely going back!

Awesome Property
My Wife, another couple, and I spent 5 days at this fantastic property. It was perfect in every way. Beautiful building throughout, and beautiful property. It was amazing how close we were to Duval Street, but could not hear anything while sitting on the outside patio. I would highly recommend this property.

Picture perfect!

Everything about this little gem is outstanding. The location couldn't get much better, just steps away from all the action, yet the accommodations offer a peaceful and quiet oasis away from the Duval Crawl. The rooms are luxurious and well decorated. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The walk-in shower is amazing and the water pressure is great. I loved having two suites in one building. It offers the perfect amount of separation when traveling with another couple. Shannon, the rental coordinator, is warm and inviting. Communicating with her is like chatting with an old friend. The property owner lives in the main house. He was friendly and quick to offer some great bar, restaurant and music suggestions. I can't say enough great things about our stay. It by far exceeded our expectations and as frequent airbnbers, we consider this stay one of the very best.

Wonderful accommodation in quiet setting

My wife, 2 college age sons, and I stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are as pictured, very comfortable, clean, and private. The interior was tastefully done. The location is surprisingly very quiet, it is set back off the street and we never heard noise from Duvall. The location can't be beat for access to Old Town as it is in the midst of everything. We walked everywhere and rode bikes to places outside of walking distance-which was not often. The concierge service was excellent. I would highly recommend this location for 2 couples or a group of 4.

We stayed at the Darling of Duval at Xmas 2018. I can't imagine a more lovely, convenient and sumptuous place. It was better than any luxury resort, in terms of amenities, aesthetics, hospitality and location. The guesthouse sits in the rear of a beautifully landscaped tropical garden. Each room had a generous king-sized bed, and choice of ventilation (open sliding doors for cross-breezes plus ceiling fan plus Mitsubishi A/C units. Parking on premises behind a wrought iron gate. Half a block from the heart of Duval, yet you feel like you are in a hidden oasis. The main house is a grand plantation colonial style home, and you feel like an honored guest.
