Suzy's Parrot Perch

Lovely accommodations within decent walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Check in and out was easy. Communication with agent was quick and easy. The dishwasher is quite loud so we had to be sure to use it earlier in the evening so everyone could get to sleep. I would recommend having more silverware as we had to wash after each meal in order to have enough.

Suzy's Parrot Perch is a a cozy place that is perfect for 1-4 people. The place is clean and well maintained by Last Key Realty. The location is perfect, away from the really busy Old Town, but in walking distance to it all. The balcony is an added bonus where the sun rises.

We absolutely loved our stay at Suzy’s Parrot Perch! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The condo is spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated with island charm. The layout is perfect for a small group or family, with a comfortable living room, well-equipped kitchen, and two cozy bedrooms. We especially appreciated the little touches—plenty of towels, fully stocked kitchen essentials, and even a welcome treat! The location is unbeatable—right off Duval Street but still quiet enough to relax. We were within walking distance of everything: restaurants, bars, shops, the Hemingway House, and the Southernmost Point. Being able to walk everywhere made the trip so much more enjoyable. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the private balcony—perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks while people-watching from above. It really feels like your own little treehouse retreat in the middle of Key West. The check-in process was smooth, communication with Last Key Realty was prompt and friendly, and the property felt very secure. We can’t wait to return and would absolutely recommend Suzy’s Parrot Perch to anyone looking for the ideal home base in Old Town Key West.

My friend met me in Key West for a mini-vacation, and this rental was perfect for us! The weather was hot, but the air conditioning kept us very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We had our own bedroom so didn’t feel like we were on top of each other like we would in a hotel. Location was great for visiting Old Town, it was just a block from Duval, plenty of bars, good restaurants, etc. Communication from Last Key Rentals was phenomenal. We felt so taken care of during our stay! Very responsive and they have a concierge service who helped me book a sunset catamaran cruise at a reasonable price. Everything was perfect. The next time we come to KW we will 100% rent from Last Key. Thank you so much!!

We came to visit our daughter at the Key West sector of the Coast Guard. We had a lot to cram in during our somewhat short stay and Suzy's Parrot Perch was the perfect homebase. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for making our breakfast and lunches. We enjoyed having the balconies with seating for soaking in the Key West vibe. Even though the location is close to the excitement the Perch was quiet and felt peaceful. It's within walking distance to so much but again, it wasn't amongst the noise. If walking isn't your thing, the Ubers are abundant and quick to arrive. I am an airbnb / vrbo host so I'm tuned in to what it takes to run such a place and Last Key does an excellent job. Communication was great, the booking process was fast and easy. Even tho so much of the booking process is done online Last Key had at least 3 team members who were there to respond immediately to our questions and needs. Overall, I wish we had stayed longer, we will certainly be back!!

Good spot. They posted 2 pics of the same bed, which implied 3 beds instead of 2 and a pull out. They also communicated too often. I want my host when i need them, not the entirety of my trip. They require you to give them a credit card outside of AirBNB for incidentals. There were no issues with this, but i may not have booked with them had i known in advance. Clean and professional. About a 15 minute walk from where the nightlife happens. Good place for 2 couples. Not for a bachelor party.

But when you read the listing (or the photo captions) you should be able to see exactly what is offered. We loved the Parrot Perch so much! A few members of my bridal party and I stayed here for a week for my bachelorette celebration, and it was perfect. In the past, my homestays have been much smaller in person than they appeared on the listing, but not this time! The space exceeded our expectations and felt so welcoming and cozy. Unbeatable location, powerful A/C, and delicious key lime pie left for us to enjoy upon our arrival! Our only issue was that the floors were pretty dirty, and our feet would turn black after walking around barefoot. Overall, though, the Perch was exactly what we were looking for, and we would absolutely book again!

Suzy's Parrot Perch was a great place to stay during our visit to Key West. It is the upper/top apartment-like unit in a big building but it felt very private and comfortable. There are steps to go up into the unit but this was pretty easy to navigate. The place was beautifully decorated, clean and very relaxing. The host was responsive several times when we had questions. Even though it is one block from DuVal, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We also had a free "hopper bus" near the place, with 18 stops throughout the DuVal tourist area--you could get on, get off, free of charge. This was so handy! If you decide to walk to tourist spots, this place is also convenient and we did this a lot. We did have a rental car, so this was somewhat of a hassle and so we had to find street parking, away from the unit. However, overall this was really a very comfortable place for our vacation and we would highly recommend it.

While searching for where we'd stay on the vacation, this property stood out for a few reasons. Price was good, location was incredible and the size was ideal. The communication with the property manager started weeks ahead of our arrival which was new and welcomed. There were a number of questions they had which made our stay even better. However, after checking in, our expectations were exceeded. Not only were we 2 blocks from Duvall, but it's a 3 block walk to the Hemingway property, 2 blocks to the lighthouse, and 4 blocks to the Southern Most Point. Due to this amazing location, we hardly had to drive at all. The property included both a perk pot and Keurig coffee options and a wonderful assortment of dishes, pots and pans, and caserole dishes. We will definitely be back!

A winter get-away from cold dreary weather led us to this darling spot on an inconspicuous corner just off the beaten path in sunny, warm Key West for our first visit. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendliest associate waiting for us who thoroughly explained the space, the map, activities—everything.   Our first impression walking in the condo was WOW! It’s SO BRIGHT and cheerful. It looked exactly like the photos, but what you can’t tell by the pictures is how absolutely CLEAN the place is. Truly remarkable and noteworthy. We’d flown directly into EYW or else we would’ve been more prepared to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. Instead we ate out and aside from take-out one PM after a sunset sail, we only used the kitchen to make coffee and store some cold drinks. But if you’re wanting to cook, you’ll be set there. The place is so stinking cute—with the bright colors, the local art on the walls, a HUGE TV that provided music for us, and quirky wall angles. I used the smaller bedroom as my closet and dressing area; it has great natural light and a mirror for applying makeup and hairstyling. The shower is large and bright.   Again, I can’t overstate how clean the condo was, and such fluffy, absorbent towels. Having a stackable washer/drier was an added bonus for a mid-stay load so as not to return home with dirty laundry. Once we got our bearings, we realized how wonderful the location was—so walkable to just about everywhere. Perfect for a quiet couple.

Overall this was a good stay... Last Key was amazing.. Very prompt and informative. You might look at other properties if you are taller than 5'6"... I hit my head probably 10 times during our week at Suzy's Parrot Perch. Having to empty the (loud) dehumidifier was a slight pain but not terrible. I should have dug a little deeper in the reviews and learned about the "Anchor's Aweigh Club" right across the street... They had chatter going in most all day and into the night but were not a problem during our stay there. It was only a short walk to Duval St and we had a blast the entire time...

This property was perfect for 4 adults. It is located up a set of steep stairs that can be slippery with the rain and there is no dedicated parking but no car is needed. This property is in the heart of where you want to be in Key West and everything is very walkable. I felt safe and secure, the unit was very clean and comfortable and the concierge/host was beyond attentive and wonderful. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here again!

The unit is located within walking distance of the Southernmost Point, Hemingway House, Duval street, Butterfly Conservatory, and much more. There’s a free Duval loop shuttle stop (stop #9) right across the street from the unit. The unit was well-furnished and clean. We did not hear our downstairs neighbors at all. Christian, our host contact, did a fabulous job making sure everything was ok. We would definitely stay here again

The neighborhood was very quiet at night. We arrived 4 hrs prior to check-in (couldn’t get early check-in) and we were able to store our luggage in a locked office until our unit was ready. Christian was an excellent host/concierge, very communicative and helpful. We did not rent a car, and I am glad we didn’t. I was given parking instructions but there is not a designated parking space here. We used Uber and rented bicycles which worked out great for us. The place was clean, had everything we needed and was just as it appeared in photos. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect rental property for our family of 3 (mom, dad & 14yr old). The neighborhood was very quiet at night. We arrived 4 hrs prior to check-in (couldn’t get early check-in) and we were able to store our luggage in a locked office until our unit was ready. This was a cute condo and the perfect location for us. We visited Key West for Christmas. We arrived early and was able to access the condo earlier than expected, which was great. The owner even had a key lime pie in the fridge for us. We rented a golf cart for transportation but parking can be tedious in Key West. We were lucky to find parking close by. The condo was updated and comfy. The checkout process was easy. We would stay at Susie’s Partot perch again!

Samantha kept in touch both before and during our stay and was super helpful with lots of great suggestions and info about things to do & places to eat. The apartment itself met our needs - comfortable beds & living space. Only one bathroom, but that wasn’t a huge deal for us. Nice to have a fridge and anything else we needed so that we could focus on relaxing and enjoying the amazing weather. The place did not have dedicated parking, but we were able to find street parking nearby without much trouble. Thanks Samantha for a great stay! We will be back!

We loved our location, we could walk or bike virtually everywhere we wanted to go. We rented bikes for the week and it was so easy to get around. Place was clean, hosts were accessible and being a few blocks from duval made us feel like we were at the fun center while being able to enjoy a little quiet. I’d stay here again!

Suzy’s Parrot Perch was an excellent place to stay. Even though a hurricane came through a few days before we arrived everything was pretty much cleaned up and the property was clean and amazing. The location is great for walking to all area attractions on Duval St, Ft Zachary, Mallory Square, Hemingway House, Butterfly Conservatory and pretty much everything. We walked everywhere. It was stocked with all the essentials including a delicious Key Lime pie in the refrigerator!!

This is hands down the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed in and I’m a frequent stayer at these kinds of places. Best location, beds, shower, air conditioning and heat (which we needed for the cold spell, best cleaning, and best attention to details. The management company that handles this rental is incredible, with concierge, someone for check-in, reservation help and more. They are called Last Key Realty and I will certainly use them again. The place is quirky but fits perfectly into the ambience of Old Town Key West.

Suzys Parrot Perch is ideally located near bars, restaurants, and landmarks. The living room is a very comfortable space to escape the heat and relax after a long day on Duval. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. I used the concierge service to book our excursion and jeep rental. It was super helpful. When I called the property manager to inquire about a cooler, she brought one right over so we could use the next day for our outing. We packed very light so the washer and dryer was a huge plus.

We came to Key West for our son's wedding and were very happy with our stay with Last Key Rentals. Samantha and Patrick were amazing to work with. This condo is in a perfect location, so close to Duval Street and all it has to offer, as well as the beach. We absolutely LOVED Fort Zachary State Park Beach (thank you for the recommendation, Samantha!) We also rented a golf cart, which I highly recommend. We can't wait to return and stay with Last Key Rentals, again, in the future.

The property was well maintained and centrally located. It was perfect for our needs. The concierge service was wonderful and the people at Last Key Realty were very helpful and friendly. There is no parking so be prepared to park on the street. We were able to find a spot around the corner but I didn't move my car for the entire stay for fear of having to drive around looking for a spot. This wasn't a problem since we rented bikes to go to the beach and the marina and there were plenty of excellent restaurants walking distance from the apartment.

We will be back!! This stay was absolutely perfect! It is very close to Duval St. The private deck is amazing, with the perfect amount of lighting. Parking was definitely a plus! My wife and I visit key west every year. We���ve stayed at pretty much every big name hotel on the water and tried suzys parrot perch for the first time because of covid and not wanting to be around many people. The best decision we ever made in lodging. It is perfect for a couple or a family traveling together. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. Every inch was immaculate. It���s on a quiet street on and perfect for when you want to get away from the craziness of duval. But walking distance for when you are ready to join the party. Close to so many great restaurants. I should have mentioned this first but the host Sam was incredible. She made sure we were set along the way and was very accessible if we needed something. As long as it���s available, I will stay here every time we visit! This place gets and 11 out of 10!

Lovely and beautiful apartment one block from Duval with its entertainments, but on a quiet Whitehead street. Everything is in good condition. The place is close to Hemingway's house and The Lighthouse. We were greeted very well, thanks Samantha! There are many good restaurants around, including the Banana Cafe, where you can have breakfast. Highly recommend.

Suzy's Parrot Perch was excellent! Very clean, comfortable, beautiful & fully stocked kitchen (without all the miscellaneous crap that previous renters have left!) and all the amenities you could ask for. The location is perfect for anyone that wants to explore Key West, being only 1 block off of Duval St, but also on Whitehead which takes you directly to Southernmost Point in a few blocks and past Hemmingway House, etc to Mallory Square the opposite way. You can't ask for a more perfect location and found it was not necessary to rent bike, cart, etc if you don't mind walking. Front and back desks are great for outdoor relaxing and fun to people watch. It was great to have a washer/dryer to go home with clean clothes, also - hairdryer in bathroom. Check-in was a breeze and VERY informative for first-timers to Key West. Check-out was equally efficient and our bags were even held for late departure, which was AWESOME! Can't say enough positive about this rental and the property management, we would certainly rent this same property the next time in Key West!

This apartment is ideally located to walk to the Lighthouse, Hemingway's House, the Southernmost Point, Duval Street (with many galleries, cafes and excellent restaurants) and Mallory Square. It is also on the Duval Loop, a free bus shuttle that takes passengers around the happening side of the island. We arrived at Key West from the ferry; the Duval Loop shuttle stop is steps from the ferry, allowing one to navigate to Suzy's Parrot Perch and other points without needing a car. We did rent an electric car for one day so we could see the other side of the island and enjoy an afternoon at Zachary Taylor State Park. (A car and bike rental business is just one block from the apartment). Because Suzy's Parrot Perch does not have a dedicated parking space and on-street parking is mostly residents-only, (the parking officials take their job seriously on this island) I recommend either relying on the Duval Loop shuttle, renting bikes or walking. Last Key even provided umbrellas in the apartment, so for the one rainy day we experienced, we were prepared. Although the apartment was only one block off Duval Street, the street this apartment is on is pretty quiet, save for the occasional loud motorcycle (is there any neighborhood on the planet one can escape from that form of auditory assault? One guy in particular had nothing better to do, apparently, than to drive his ear-rattling three-wheeled contraption-passing-as-transportation up and down various streets in the neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. For other visitors' sake, I hope this guy isn't a local. I wonder if Key West can enforce a loud engine ordinance for the sake of their tourist industry? ) We enjoyed watching a family of chickens (in particular a beautiful rooster, his hen and their 7 newly-hatched chicks) from the balcony. Yes, there are chickens in Key West and I was amazed at how well-behaved Key West chickens are; not at all like the Canadian Geese roaming the parks here in Indiana, where you have to watch where you walk on the sidewalks. The roosters do crow early in the morning, but we weren't bothered by that at all as they're the ones who are quiet starting at dusk! (See note about loud motorcycles above). For convenience, amenities, cleanliness and comfort, I highly recommend this rental.

My husband and I stayed with friends Oct 18-21-18 We loved the location which was close to higgs beach and duval but away from the late night parties .. Amannda was super nice and very easy to work with and ready to meet us when we arrived to the house. Thank you Amanda We hope to meet with you again next yr.
