Brian our representative was amazing & so helpful. We loved the location. We could walk anywhere with ease. We were close enough to all of the shops/restaurants/bars/beaches but located in a peaceful setting for privacy. The back patio was an absolute amazing & a plus. We loved it. Had 5 guest with no issues on space. It is one bathroom, but everyone made it work with no issue. We have been to Key West 5 times. Stayed in 4 hotels. This has been our favorite place to stay in Key West.

Delightful and clean

This property was just as advertised. The AC worked perfectly, thank goodness. It was nice to stay on the quieter end of town. Short walk to delicious breakfast and lunch spots. It was nice to have a parking spot as well! Would definitely recommend!

Would definitely stay again

Good value and comfortable enough for a group of 4. The outside space was a bonus as it is well-fenced and provides good privacy. The Mellow Macaw was spotless upon entry and had everything we needed for the week. You're a block off of Duval and within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. Would definitely book here again.

Super cozy, super comfortable, and really convenient

Spring break with my 21-year-old daughter and her boyfriend. With so many activities, and so much going on, it was great to have a place to come back to, and just veg out for a while in between adventures. Couldn’t ask for more!

Great stay at the Mellow Macaw

Location is perfect. Positioned between Duval and Whitehead, but still quiet. Walkable to everything. Reserved parking spot is a bonus. Very clean, free of clutter and well maintained. Was also very nice to be able to store our luggage at the rental office after check-out. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend!

Our group of 4 enjoyed our 4 night stay at Mellow Macaw. We felt comfortable with the smooth check in and check out process. The patio area was perfect! We were thrilled with our proximity to the bus stop for the free Duval bus shuttle or just walking into town and to the Southernmost Point. When we experienced poor wifi connectivity Brian and the owners quickly solved the issue with a call to Comcast and installation of new equipment. We would definitely book this again!

Can't get any better

The Mellow Macaw is at a perfect location in Key West. It is in walking distance to everything, yet far away enough so you can have some quiet. The house was impeccable and a block away from Circle K so we could get some basic groceries. When I go back to Key West I will definitely be staying at the Mellow Macaw.

From the beds, closets, kitchen and especially the back deck/patio! Perfect for outdoor eating, card playing or just hanging! 

 

The concierge service was 5 stars! Charlie, Sam and Brian were so helpful with restaurants and site seeing places.  Especially the sunset cruise on the America 2.0!!

Great Place with Great Service

Fabulous!

The space is comfortable, cozy and very inviting. Who ever created this space did a fabulous job! The only issue we had was the hair dryer wasn’t working but within a half hour someone showed up with a new one! Will definitely be back.

We'll definitely stay with Last Key from here on out!

We had the pleasure of staying at Mellow Macaw for four nights and had a wonderful experience. Brian from Last Key Realty kept in constant communication with us throughout the stay to make sure we were happy. We were welcomed with a Kermit's Key Lime Pie on arrival, and he was kind enough to ship back an iPad that we had forgotten. Parking was a must--a nearby spot would have been sufficient but having one on-site was an absolute bonus. The premium location is in walking distance to The Hemingway Home, Key West Lighthouse, Southernmost Point and Duval Street. The house is very well maintained and spotless on arrival. Amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee makers (both drip and pod), microwave, oven and outdoor grill. They even provided us with other unexpected items such as plentiful beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. We look forward to booking with Last Key Realty once again on our next visit to Key West!

Ideally Located and Perfect for a Family

My family enjoyed a 3 night stay here. From booking to checking out, everything was well organized and easy. The property manager was available by text, checked in to make sure all was well, and promptly answered the one question we had. Everything was so well prepped and taken care of, we didn’t need any help! The house was really clean (and I’m picky ;) and well stocked. The key lime pie in the fridge was a nice treat…sweet idea and delicious! We enjoyed the location one block over from Duval. We were happy to see how much was on the street we were on too. Our favorite walks were to Flamingo Crossing, an ice cream store at the end of the block; and to the Southernmost Point and Seaside Cafè (so close to the house!). We were very happy to get to see all the sights we wanted to and not have to use our car once. We appreciated the designated parking space too. Thank you!

If you are considering this property, do it!

We just loved our stay at the Mellow Macaw! It was a beautiful condo with a fantastic location. The tropical decor is so cute, and everything you could ask for was there. When they say they are fully stocked, that is really accurate. Plenty of everything! We really enjoyed the little patio, and the parking spot. We parked and didn't use the car all week since everything was easily walkable. We didn't need much from the rental company, but the few questions we had were answered promptly and courteously.

Already booked to come back!

We loved this place so much we’ve already booked for next year! It took us one golf cart ride around the block to realize we really didn’t need a golf cart to get around. Being so close to the heart of KW meant we had more time to explore and go everywhere we wanted to! The place itself is awesome. Very comfortable beds and couch, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and the patio was a perfect hangout spot. We can’t wait to be back!

Definitely recommend!

My parents and I were delighted from the minute we walked into the Mellow Macaw. The decor was so welcoming and cute, and the unit was super clean and comfortable. Plus, they left a key lime pie for us in the fridge! We were able to walk pretty much everywhere we went in Key West during our stay (though it was nice to have the driveway for our rental car, since we flew in and out of Miami). Other than the roosters, it was just far enough off Duval that it was pretty quiet at night. From one of the bedrooms, you could hear people walking around upstairs on occasion but nothing that was too distracting. The patio was a nice addition and a pleasant place to hang out in the afternoon when we weren't out and about. I'd highly recommend this property!

Love the Macaw

We had a great time exploring Key West and Duval street. The house was perfectly located about a block off of Duval and we could walk around and explore everything Key West had to offer. We all enjoyed the outdoor private patio and provided bbq that came with this property. It was great for enjoying morning coffee in the 70 degree weather and afternoon Mojitos while we relaxed in the shade.

Everything was perfect from start to finish.

Great Girl's Trip!

We had an OUTSTANDING trip despite a little hurricane coming in! Samantha had everything lined up for us upon arrival and even had a yummy key lime pie waiting in the refrigerator for us! I can't say enough about this cute little place. We had three ladies celebrating a birthday weekend and we had plenty of room and everything we needed. All the way down to umbrellas. Sam checked on us to make sure we were ok and they allowed us to "hunker down" a couple mores until it was safe to leave. The house was convenient to all the fun spots in Key West. We had a blast!

Great Condo Off Duval

It was a great little condo perfectly situated a block off Duval. The deck was great to hangout on and for any divers there is a hose outside to clean off your gear and then let it sit securely on the deck to dry. We’d be happy to stay here again.

Convenient & Peaceful

Comfy & Convenient Condo!

What a great place to stay!! One block away from Duval St and within comfortable walking distance to anything you want to see. We used the Last Key’s concierge services to stock the fridge before our arrival and to book our daily adventures. They made our stay hassle free. We did rent a golf cart for getting around and doing some sightseeing. The home is beautifully decorated and a lot more spacious then what we were thinking from the pictures. 4 people in the house and we were comfortable! Nice amenities to use for beach visits. We fixed several meals at the house and the BBQ grill was a nice feature to have. Beds were comfortable and having a washer and dryer was a huge plus! The neighborhood was mostly quiet and very safe. Would definitely book this place again!

Really Happy Renters

Ideally Located

Had a wonderful stay in Key West!  The house is ideally located so you can do a lot of things by foot and perfect size for our family of 4. It is very close to all the restaurants and shopping but very calm at night. Get ready to wake up early, roasters are everywhere ;-) Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful!

This cottage is wonderful!  The tropical colors are so inviting. It is located close to Southernmost Point. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, bowls, etc. There is a coffee maker and a toaster. The appliances seem new. We did not use the stove. There is a nice, private deck with a grill. The neighborhood is quiet. A big plus is the on site parking.

Close to Everything!

House is very cute!  Love the tropical colors.  Back deck is awesome!  Kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, etc.  Close to Southernmost Point buoy.  A block from Duval St.   Nice washer and dryer if you need it.

Very Cute & Nicely Furnished

It's my new go-to place to stay in Key West!

We stayed at Mellow Macaw for a much needed long weekend with friends. Everything was perfect! The patio/deck was our favorite place to have coffee and drinks! Spent more time out there then inside! The unit is well stocked, clean, very cute and beachy.

 

Great experience with the management company, Last Key Resorts. They sent emails with info on things to do, restaurants, cart rentals, etc. Called a couple of days before check-in to make sure we had everything.

 

The location of Mellow Macaw is perfect! One block off Duval so quiet but close to the action.

The condo was clean and spacious enough for my parents, my fiance, and I to spend the weekend. The patio is an excellent feature of this unit. Location-wise, its a perfect spot if you want to be close to the action, but not the noise of Duval street. It's also two blocks away from Hemingway House and we easily walked to the Southernmost Point. With regards to service, Samantha was amazing, incredibly friendly, and very responsive.

Key West Christmas

Mellow Macaw was perfect for our family of five adults. We were able to walk to Hemingway House and Southernmost point in five minutes., Mallory Square was a 20 minute pleasant walk. Duval Street is one block away where we were able to shop and dine to our hearts content. A Circle K convenience store is also a one block walk. The condo is exactly what I expected form the listing. While compact it had everything we needed. The Last Key service was great and there was a lot of attention to detail. We were welcomed by a Key Lime Pie. They checked on us twice by text. The outside deck makes the place! We spent most of out time sitting outside! We would definitely return.

Such a great place!!

Quiet area but walking distance to everything! This was perfect because we could leave our car in the driveway and not worry about it for days. The back porch is so nice and we wished we would have made dinner on the grill one night because it was perfect for that! Clean, excellent property manager, cute decor and great location

We chose the Mellow Macaw property because of the ambiance and unique decor and it did not disappoint. The property was cozy and the tropical decor had all the Key West touches and charm you could expect for an island getaway. It is super clean and location was great! Everything you want to get to is within a mile radius. Depending on what you want to do that day, You could rent a bike from at a rental place around the corner or scooter or golf cart. We rented all of them on different days and because we went in July, the golf cart was our favorite. The property management coordinator and concierge are committed to your comfort and having a great time exploring the island. We had some big asks and they delivered. I would recommend white noise for sleeping (they provided box fans) since it is in a busy part of town. Beds are comfy and they even provided a mattress pad for the sofa bed.

The Mellow Macaw is a small 2 bedroom bungalow in typical “old Key West” style. While small, as long as numbers are kept reasonable, all activities are possible: cooking, eating, laundering, hot-tubbing etc. Beyond 4, this model of unit would quickly become crowded. The unit was clean, bright and very useable. The deck/patio had a hot tub, table w/4 chairs and a gas grill, plus a little “shed” in which the washer/dryer was located. We enjoyed all aspects and used everything but the grill (ran out of time). The location is just two blocks down from Hemingway House, 5 blocks from Blue Heaven and no more than 10 blocks from the center of Duval Street. We walked to most places and found this quite convenient. But a key feature is the fact that the place comes with its own parking place! How convenient! Our host was excellent, contacting me ahead of time to ensure that I knew how to let ourselves in, and ensuring we had critical supplies and a list of places that deceiver as we got in late. If you are a smaller group (4 or fewer), this is a great property located in the Conch republic!

Great rental company!

The unit we rented was ready when we arrived, very clean, and very welcoming. Our personal company contact person, Samantha, made sure we were prepared with check-in information well ahead of time. Mellow Macaw was the Perfect Spot!

Our 3 night stay on Key West could not have been more enjoyable! Everything about our house was as advertised... Clean, Concise, & Close! It felt like our location was second to none in proximity to Old Town offerings. Last Key thought of everything!

 

We stayed at the Mellow Macaw. Our coordinator was Samantha, and she made every effort to make sure we were happy with the place and our stay. Sometimes you meet someone that you immediately like and appreciate...and that's Sam! The place itself is very well appointed, comfortable and the location is perfect. It is seconds (literally) from Duval, and out of the way enough that the bars and partiers don't disturb the tranquility, but close enough that you can be a partier yourself. We rented a golf cart to get around (I highly recommend this after being on a previous trip and not renting one). We'll be back, and we'll use Last Key!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mellow Macaw! The location was perfect, one block off Duval and far enough south to be away from the hubbub of cruise ships and super touristy crowds. But everything we wanted to see was within walking distance - Hemingway House, the lighthouse, Southernmost point, Mallory Square, all the shops and restaurants along Duval and Simonton, etc. The hosts were awesome! They called me in advance to confirm our travel plans and ask what kind of beverages we wanted chilling in our home (wine for my mom, local beer for me) and our preference on Key Lime Pie. They checked in on us several times. The house is immaculately clean and very comfortable with a full kitchen and large bedrooms. If I get back to Key West I will definitely book again.

Very Special Trip!

 

This was the most amazing airbnb experience I have ever had! The staff was incredible and went above and beyond for us. Sam was our coordinator and she not only gave us all the information we would need to enjoy our trip but also went out and got a shower chair and toilet seat for my disabled mom. We were greeted with a card, champagne and a delicious key lime pie! The house is walking distance from everything (convenient store a few houses away), adorable and so clean/organized. We cooked a lot of meals here and were able to do several loads of laundry. The hot tub was amazing on the nights we stayed in. The beds were very comfortable! Thank you Last key!!! We had a blast!!

The property is in a great location

It is walking distance to everything in Old Town. This is a unit on the back of a house with 2 bedrooms and a nice kitchen and living room. It was very quiet at night. Last Key did a great job welcoming us and telling us about the area with lots of really good recommendations.

A wonderful property in the center of Key West activities

Amazing get away in the Keys

We loved our stay at the Macaw! Pictures are exactly what you get, colorful, clean, clean, well maintained bungalow. Shannon was fabulous, best customer service ever, met us at the door for a early check in and gave us a informative low down on Key West. Little extras in the fridge were appreciated, loved the cozies with our names & dates was a very nice extra. Kitchen was fully stocked with the basics and down the block was a CV pharmacy which was well equipped with food and essentials. Beds were very comfortable, everything about the Macaw was just perfect. We enjoyed our evenings on the deck and soaking in the hot tub. I can't wait to use Last Key Realty for another trip.

Home Away from Home

If you are looking for a cozy place to stay...you just found it! This 2bd, 1 ba is perfect for a small family or two couples. We had 5 guests (two adults in one room, single in the other and two children on the pull out sofa). Fully stocked kitchen with every thing you need to make meals at home if you like. We made breakfast and dinner most days and enjoyed eating out on the deck. Hot tub was amazing in the evenings to relax. I cannot say enough about Amanda. She was more than amazing. My daughter was celebrating her 13th birthday and when we arrived there were cupcakes and a key lime pie waiting for us along with a big Happy Birthday balloon and super cute koozies with our names on them! The OJ and champagne were also a happy surprise for the adults in our group and made fantastic mimosas at breakfast! Location was also perfect. Just a quick walk to the southernmost point and to Duval street. There is a Duval Loop bus stop close to the house and makes for easy access to FREE transportation. This house really is amazing and will make your stay in Key West just perfect! Enjoy!

Spring Break 2018

Lovely stay at The Mellow Macaw

This is a lovely, compact, wonderfully located place to stay in Key West. It's expertly managed--Last Key has one of the best communication setups I've ever encountered in Airbnb--and you couldn't ask for a better location. The beds and all the linens are super comfy and the lovely personal touches are wonderful. I recommend it highly. There are two things travelers should be aware of neither of which have anything to do with Last Key. The first is that Key West has lots of roosters and we were awakened each morning at 5:30 by the neighborhood poultry. Second, the Mellow Macaw is a very small space and the only bathroom is in the middle of it. If you're someone who needs privacy to feel comfortable, this spot might be too small for you.

The Mellow Macaw is wonderful!

The Mellow Macaw is a wonderful place to stay while in Key West! A few weeks before our arrival, the guest services coordinator, Amanda, contacted us, introducing herself, and giving a list of services they provided. Amanda kept in touch almost daily trying to make our stay perfect. Well it worked! She met us at the front door when we got there ! She even did our grocery shopping and had our refrigerator stocked when we arrived! While we were in Key West one of our friends turned 40. Amanda had very thoughtful treats and surprises at the house when we arrived. We travel all the time and everywhere and this was the best customer service we've ever received! The house was perfect size for four of us, extremely clean, and stocked with supplies that would be needed for the five nights we were there. We rented scooters for the week allowing us to get around town with ease. Although, the Mellow Macaw is close enough to the hotspots we were able to walk most nights. The backyard area is cute and the hot tub was ready to go when we got there. We go to Key West every year for the offshore power boat races and will book this house again in a second! Highly recommended!

Was a perfect getaway

Perfect Getaway
We could not have had a more perfect getaway at the Mellow Macaw. Amanda the guest service coordinator made us feel like VIP's. She met us at the house and instructed about the house. Left us flowers, a balloon, key lime pie, champagne and orange juice, for us to celebrate our anniversary. We have rented many vacation homes through HomeAway, and have never been treated so special. The house was well appointed and clean. Located close to all of the things you would want to do. We would recommend this home for a Key West vacation. I know I will stay there again when I return.

Perfect Getaway!
After surviving Hurricane Harvey in Houston, we were anxious to get away to Key West for our first visit to the island. Communication prior to our arrival was excellent and only got better when we were met by our host, Shel. He greeted us upon arrival and could not have been nicer! He gave us excellent recommendations on where to go, especially places that the locals enjoy. We had one of the best meals we could remember based on his suggestion. The house has everything you need and the location is perfect. Close to everything but quiet. Definitely recommend and we cannot wait to return.

Celebrated 50 years in style

Beautiful, updated and well maintained. Quiet part of town. Cottage was clean and linens were fresh. We rented this and the cottage upstairs and it worked great for 4 couples. Did not use the hot tub, we were hot enough already walking around. Love Key West, have been there numerous times and this place was wonderful. Well stocked with things I was not expecting. Clean, cozy and well-equipped!

The Mellow Macaw was perfect for our stay! We were a group of 5 friends reuniting from college. The kitchen had all the basic supplies we needed when we decided to grill our first night. The hot tub on the deck was also a nice addition for the night we decided to stay in. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom for use throughout the week coming back and forth from our beach days. Everything was super clean and the house got great morning light. It was the perfect location to Duval but tucked away enough that it felt like a nice separation from the rest of the town. Caryn was really great at coordinating our arrival and departures, even when we got stuck in traffic coming in and fell two hours behind as planned. We would definitely come back and had an amazing stay!

The Mellow Macaw was absolutely perfect for all of our needs

My girlfriend and I were joined by two friends travelling from London and we had made the booking rather last minute and chose it based on the photos and the great value. We could not have been more pleased. There was every home comfort we could have wished for and thanks to Caryn the fridge was nicely stocked with the few items we had requested upon arrival. The highlights were the hot tub, the comfy beds and the delicious welcome key lime pie! We were close to a fantastic array of bars, restaurants, breakfast spots, Hemmingway attractions (Hemmingway House is highly recommended) and lovely beaches and beachside activities. Perfect space for 4 people!

Big bedrooms, comfortable bathroom, excellent living and outdoor space with patio table, grill, and hot tub. Location is great just one block off of Duval, and south enough to be quiet but still a comfortable walk to the nightlife. Host Caryn was great and accommodating. Only negative was being able to hear our neighbors in their rental, but that was minimal. Will definitely inquire about the Mellow Macaw on our next visit!!

Fabulous!

This is a wonderful, delightful little home. Beautifully decorated; very clean, well appointed, cozy place....Great location, central to everything, yet peaceful. Outdoor area lovely, relaxing (new hot tub), complete with resident cats "Shoes", and an unnamed little lady. It was perfect for our ladies' weekend, sleeping 5 of us nicely. Caryn was prompt in meeting us, and as warm & friendly as other reviews said. Concierge Phillip was such a help in planning, and always just a phonecall away. Every expectation was exceeded. Location Location Location

This was our first trip to Key West. The location of the rental was wonderful. Just a block off of Duval and far enough away from the main intersections for calm and peace. The rental was nicely equipped and had all the necessary accouterments. We were looking forward to using the Jacuzzi but it was dirty and we did not use it. There was a lack of sound proofing between the units. Fortunately, we only had a neighbor for one night. But on that night we could hear everything through the walls. Would we stay there again? Probably so the location just can't be beat.

We were so disappointed to receive this review regarding the jacuzzi after this guest departed. We do everything we can to resolve guest issues with guests in residence, so you can enjoy your stay thoroughly while you are here. That being said, after receiving this review a brand new spa was purchased for this home and is serviced weekly. Cosy, super comfortable, modern island-style property in the heart of Key West!

This was a perfectly comfortable vacation home for our family of three. The rooms were warmly decorated in island style which truly added to the "get-away" feel. The apartment was very clean and supplied well. The agent, Caryn, welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. Caryn along with the conceierge provided us with great recommendations based on our interests and helped make our stay more enjoyable. BOOK THIS PLACE !!!!!

Old Key West Charm in the heart of everything describes the location. You walk in to a happy, cheerful, tropical bungalow. EVERYTHING you need for 2 days or 2 weeks is already there. Comfy beds, cotton linens, and fluffy soft towels make you feel more at home. Open your patio door to the Key West Street sounds and you are so glad your'e not home. One block off Duval Street, yet when you close the door it's quiet, private, and you feel secure. The property managers are fabulous. True Professionals who actually manage each individual rental.  You feel welcome, appreciated, and they go above and beyond what you would expect. I was so pleased with everything. Only ONE THING could have made it better, A Cabana 'Man" with a pitcher of Margaritas . But I didn't ask. Who Knows! The truth is my 15 year old son was with me., the environment was fun and definitely Key West, but you would have no worries staying there with a family. For me that's peace of mind.. GO ! BOOK THE PLACE ! IT'S GREAT !!

Very nice place to stay in Key West!

The property was just as listed, a very nice place for a small group and/or 2 couples. The real estate agent was very helpful as well! The backyard gets some nice daytime sun and you can enjoy the hot tub as well. The gate adds another private level of security and the best part is the location, as you are very close to Duval, but far enough from the bars for quite time. Very enjoyable stay!

Cheery and Convenient

This condo is very nice, with plenty of space for our family of four. The property was very clean and the management was very friendly and responsive to our requests. The location is pretty perfect, close enough to walk to almost anything on Duvall Street and to other popular spots like the Hemingway House and Blue Heaven. However, there are a lot of chickens and roosters living in this neighborhood (and pretty much all over Key West) and they cockadoodle all through the night, so bring your earplugs or white noise app on your phone. Also, the property is on the path of the Trolley Tour and across the street from an AA meeting house, so there is a lot of activity on the street during the day. Everything (except the roosters) quiets down at night. This property is great for families, our kids had a lot of fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mellow Macaw. The decor was bright and fresh. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well equipped and clean. We loved being able to sit outside on the deck and grill dinner. Great location to access all areas of interest, especially the fresh bakeries and ice cream on Duval! Last Key Resort concierge (Krystal) was very helpful and energetic.

Awesome place

This place was awesome. Perfect size for four people. Great location near Duval and all the hot spots. It was very well stocked with linens, beach towels and cooking items. Loved the hottub. Would come here again without a doubt!

Lovely Rental

This rental was clean, cute, comfortable and had everything we needed. The decor and furniture is beautiful and has a tropical feel. We enjoyed relaxing on the gated deck and it was good spot for out 2 year old to play. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from this location. The manager Krystal was very helpful and the concierge service was an added bonus for booking activities. I would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Great Key West Trip

Mellow Macaw was very convenient to nearly everything in Key West. We were welcomed by Krystal and she did a nice job explaining the details of the property. Comfortable living areas and good storage space for a cozy home. Would recommend Krystal and Mellow Macaw for a small to medium group for a great time in Key West.

Property was GREAT and close to everything!

Property was GREAT!

It had everything we could have possibly needed. We did not have to run to the store for anything on our arrival.

It was not a noisy location. We were 1 block off Duval and 1 block from Hemingway's house. We could walk to the Southernmost Point.

Great accommodations.

Amazing Stay

This place was clean and beautiful!!

There were 5 of us and we were very comfortable.

Clyde was super helpful!! So close to everything! We had everything that we needed. The jacuzzi was a bonus!!! I will be back next year!!!

Chillin' at the Mellow Macaw

Last Key properties ensures a very easy process for renting one of their properties. The contact person answered all my questions promptly either by phone or by email. Their online contract is very thorough and easy to work with. Our concierge was in touch with us as the date for our arrival neared with necessary instructions and then met us at the site when we arrived to let us in, show us around and introduce himself should we need anything. The property was as described, cheerfully decorated and properly appointed. It was very clean and stocked with necessary amenities. It was a short walk to Duval Street, the Hemingway House and Southernmost Point. There is off-the-street parking which is great!  This property had good security with 3 different locked doors to enter the house. We enjoyed the back patio quite a bit. We did use the grill. It was clean and worked very well. Tools were provided except for the brush which was said to be hanging on the grill. We couldn't find it. We cooked in tin foil so our fish didn't touch the grill anyway.

The property offers a hot tub for which a daily heating fee is required but when we arrived, it was not hot nor was it clean. However, a quick call to our concierge got that addressed and because of the hassle, the heating fee was removed from our bill.

We appreciated the access to a washer and dryer. One suggestion we do have is that the size of the potted plants should be made smaller or removed to make the patio look larger and less closed in. A 4-pack of toilet paper was provided but did not last for a week with 4 people. We ended up having to buy another 4-pack. Either buy a larger size package or buy a larger sized roll. Overall, we give the Mellow Macaw high marks and would recommend it.

Absolutely fabulous!

This is a wonderful property. Clean and very close to Duval. We walked everywhere! The butterfly sanctuary is a fabulous place and a must see for us.  We love the rum bar, which is one block away. The Green Parrot was also a lot of fun. The sunsets are wonderful. Clyde and Dennis took excellent care of our needs. We were very pleased with the entire experience and would definitely recommend this property to a friend. It was so nice to have a hot tub in the evening after walking the island all day. The cat was a nice extra. He came around every day and we fed him and watched his antics. Very entertaining! I would hope that anyone who stays here would be very nice to Shoes. Loved this place and the whole Key West experience.

Comfy, cute, clean

The Mellow Macaw was just as described. The property was clean and well-maintained. After spending all day out touring Key West it was a wonderful place to come back to. We loved the patio and the cat Shoes was amusing. The manager Clyde was very helpful. I definitely will be back.

Mellow Macaw

Outstanding location! Close to Duvall street, charming little place. Very clean. Highly recommend! Close to trolley stops if you wish to take the trolley instead of walking. Enjoyed the patio and great air conditioning!

Great stay!

My wife & I stayed at The Mellow Macaw in early October. We found the condo just as described, bright, well maintained and surgical suite clean. It was steamy outside but the AC & ceiling fans worked well, keeping things cool. The location is on the quieter side of town, 1 block from Duval & within easy walking distance to dining & drinks. We would certainly look to stay there again when we return to KW.

Great Location

Loved the house and the location. Had everything we needed - very nicely maintained and well stocked.

Only negative was the hot tub. Water was cloudy and not hot enough. Needs to be Cleaned and maintained.

 We are always appreciative of guest feedback, but particularly hope to receive the feedback while our guests are in residence so we can resolve the issues during their stay. Since this guest stay in December of 2015 the spa has been replaced with a new one and is serviced weekly. We hope to treat future guests to a lovely hot tub/jacuzzi experience, and if there is ever an issue while in residence we highly encourage guests to let us know as soon as possible so we may resolve during their stay rather than acting after departure. Perfect Place in Key West

Great little apartment on the bottom floor. Very clean and the perfect size for three people. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the deck (with cute little kitty) and hot tub! Location was perfect to bike to the beach (Fort Zachary and Smathers) and walk to Duvall St, Hemingway House and Mallory Square. The owner was good in responding to our questions prior to our vacation and while staying there. The concierge service was a nice little bonus as they booked our bike rentals. Would definitely recommend this place to friends!

Great Place

Loved the house and the patio! Only a block off a Duval, you can walk or bike to the other end of Duval where most of the larger more known bars are. I would recommend getting bikes. The only drawback was we had enough people so we had to use the pull out couch bed and it wasn't very comfortable. Other than that, loved the property and would stay there again!

Perfect place to enjoy paradise!

My friends and I were ecstatic to have found such a perfect place to stay for our vacation and appreciated the quick responses and thorough communication prior to our arrival. When we arrived, we were greeted by the property manager who gave us a quick tour and answered any questions we had. The pictures are very accurate and the home is just as delightful as it looks. It was clean, thoroughly stocked with basic items (towels, dishes, toilet paper, etc) and was a perfect size for the 6 of us. We weren't cramped and there was enough seating indoor and out for everyone. The private patio and hot tub were enjoyed the whole week. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy all Key West has to offer while being in a quieter part of the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and are already discussing future visits!!

Gorgeous spot for our girls trip!

The Mellow Macaw was the perfect location for our girls trip. Just a block from Duval, the condo was very centrally located and we were able to walk to everything. The interior was lovely, just as pictured, and the patio was the best spot for our morning coffee. The guest services coordinator, was very attentive and easy to get in contact with. She provided wonderful recommendations for local attractions and was able to answer all of our questions. Overall, our stay here definitely highlighted an already wonderful vacation!

A perfect home away from home!

The Mellow Macaw was a perfect place for my family and I to stay for a week while vacationing in Key West. Located a block off of Duval Street, and only a mile away from Mallory Square, it was the perfect location to leave the car alone and bike everywhere! The photos do show exactly what to expect when you arrive. The Mellow Macaw exceeded our expectations. It's cozy, and a great place to relax after a day out. The beds were very comfortable, and there were more pillows, linens, and towels than what you'll ever need. All appliances worked great, the A/C was cold, and the place was very clean. The outside patio is secure, and a wonderful place to spend a few hours with friends. The Jacuzzi was relaxing and clean, too. And there's even a sweet black and white cat that spends some time there too. My girls loved seeing him out there. All of these things add up to a great "home away from home" experience. I'll be back....!

This was my second stay in 2 years.

I think the Mellow Macaw has become my "go to" lodging during Tarpon season. Conveniently located to everything, parking slot, great patio, comfortable beds, Caryn is the best! You'll love it!
