My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary and had an amazing time. The accommodations were amazing and the service and concierge were incredible. Would love to stay there again.

The Admirals Compound was 10 STARS!!!

Great place to stay and Last Key was amazing property management company. The house has everything you need and on an Island with so much going on around you, The Admirals Compound is a private oasis close to everything.

Incredible Place

The highlight of this property is the outdoor space next to the pool. The family spent a lot of time reading and relaxing outside. More than enough room for everyone.

Top Notch Service

Our Little Bit of Heaven

Last Key was amazing from the time of our booking to the time of our departure. They see to every last detail to ensure that your visit is perfect in every way. Our manager Shel was always available and often stopped by to see if we needed anything and if all was going well. The properties they manage are beautiful and fabulous in every. We stayed 3 weeks this time and are headed back for a month in November. We’ve found our little bit of heaven here with the help of Last Key Realty.

Truly an Amazing Property

From the main house to the two separate master bedroom buildings. Unbelievable outdoor kitchen and bar complete with all appliances, stainless BBQ grill and wall mounted tv. Fully furnished gazebo with fans next to a spectacular pool with waterfall. Very well landscaped with lush vegetation, bamboo, and 90’ Coconut Palms making the whole Compound very secluded. Inside of the main house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. All appliances were high end and were a pleasure to use. The whole property was very well maintained and the staff of the management company was available anytime and very efficient in every manner. The Royal Compound, along with its prime location would be a dream vacation for anyone!

This Property made our Vacation Amazing

The listing is good, but doesn't quite prepare you for just how nice this property actually is. We had 2 families stay in this house and this property is what made our vacation amazing. We had lots of activites in Key West but the kids often just wanted to come hang out at the pool and back patio as well. Overall and wonderful experience and Shel, property manager, was wonderful.

Top of the line

The property was exactly what it looked like in the photos: clean, beautiful, immaculate all around. Couldn't have been better stocked for all our needs and Shel was as responsive as any property manager could be. We immediately booked another property with Last Key Realty upon leaving.

Best Vacation Rental in Key West!

The Royal Compound is the best vacation rental on the island of Key West, and Last Key leaves no stone unturned in terms of guest satisfaction. The house itself is warm and welcoming and spacious, and the two separate houses containing master bedrooms are even more stunning. The pool, outdoor bar, deck, and hot tub are all incredible areas to commune with family and friends. Additionally, this is perhaps the best possible location on the island, being in the quiet comfort of the Truman annex, but only a three minute walk to all of the action. I cannot recommend the Royal Compound, Last Key, and our gracious concierge Shel enough.

Festive stay in Key West

After canceling plans to Hawaii, we opted for a get away within driving distance. The house was awesome and a bike ride to everything. The pool offers a tranquil setting and there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy.

Exceptional!

The Royal Compound was perfect for our visit in every way. The outdoor and indoor spaces are unrivaled, living up to the expectations set by the photos in the listing. Not apparent in the photos are the excellent, responsive service of the property manager and extremely well stocked kitchen. A perfect setting for our family Thanksgiving!

10 day KW vacay

We booked The Royal Compound in Key West for a 10 day vacation. The home is as wonderful as the photos show! We have several friends come stay a night or two while we where there. The location is wonderful and Shel, our personal assistant was wonderful. We will be back.

Highly recommend staying here

My whole family loved the house, The Royal Compound, we rented from Last Key Realty. It was so beautiful and clean. The pictures online are exactly what you're getting plus more. The main reason I chose that house was the beautiful outdoor area and pool along with room for all family members to have their own space. It was perfect! I had mentioned to my Last Key agent, Shel, that we were celebrating my mom's birthday and he had her a key lime pie with a birthday candle on it when we arrived. She was thrilled. It’s the little details that matter. Nothing compares to the service and experience that we received on our Key West vacation through Last Key Realty. I cannot recommend them enough. We will be returning!

The Royal Compound is fit for many kings and queens!

Holy smokes...where do I begin? What a gorgeous house! From the moment we walked in we were blown away. The pool is insane, the outdoor area spacious, the 2 kitchens more than enough! It��s in a great area, far enough away to feel private and close enough to walk or bike anywhere. We have stayed at several Last Key homes in the last couple years and while all of them were awesome in their own ways, this one takes the key lime pie! ;)

Impressive!!!

Very impressed with Last Key Realty for our rental in Key West. The two homes we rented were beautiful, extremely clean and had a kitchens stocked with everything we needed for our large dinners at home. Last Key’s Conceirge went above and beyond to get us a last minute golf cart, reservations for dinner, scheduled delivery for breakfast and delivery of lunches packed and ready for our day out on the boat. Shel who had the homes ready before we arrived, checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and couldn’t be nicer! We absolutely will only rent from Last Key for all future trips to Key West. Thank you Last Key for making our trip amazing!

Excellent property and service

We rented the home for 9 nights and it was in excellent condition and surpassed our expectations. It is very spacious with much outdoors space, in door living space, and larger bedrooms so your group will not feel on top of each other. The extra space provided by the outdoor kitchen and outdoor living room really are enjoyable and useful. The kitchen is very well stocked for making lunches and dinners. The location is excellent for anything you would like to do in Key West. Rounding out the great experience is the management company. They are extremely organized and responsive and have a team willing to help you with anything that you need at the property and to plan any excursions or reservations - such an extra and helpful service. All in all an excellent experience.

Another great Key West vacation with Last Key

My family and I have been renting homes through Last Key Realty for almost five years. We always know when we book through LKR that we will be well cared for, with each home being clean, properly maintained, and well stocked. We had the privilege of staying in the Royal Compound on our past visit. The children loved swimming in the large, warm pool and the adults enjoyed R&R under the open, covered porch. I highly recommend both Last Key Realty and the Royal Compound. Until next time, Key West!

Last Key is always first choice!

We try to make it to Key West at least once every year. Five years ago we found Last Key and Shel! We are so glad we did! They are hands down the best! Shel is the greatest and super accommodating and always there if there is anything needed! To speak to The Royal Compound .. wow. Just wow. This immaculate property is beyond impressive. It is beautifully landscaped and secluded all while being a short walk from Duval life! (Even though we always get scooters and a cart lol!) We travel with a fairly large group, bringing together four households under one roof (or in this case one property). The Compound handled it with ease! No one was cramped or running over each other, we even had room to spare! As always, everything was perfect! We can not recommend The Compound and especially Last Key (and Shel!) enough!

The Most Perfect Guest Experience

The home at 101 Admirals Lane is the most perfect guest experience I've ever had. 2 fully equip kitchens make you want to run to Faustos' and cook dinner instead of dine out. The pool and lounge area are top knotch and the two guest cottages are great for multiple family privacy. If you need a crib, entertainment, someone to go grocery shopping for you, bikes delivered to the house, anything...Last Key will get it arranged. I was so surprised. The master guest cottage had a private lanai off the side and a vanity/closet setup that's anyone's dream. In house amenities include a Keurig, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, all the pots, pans, cutlery, bottle openers, spices, and small appliances you could think of, paper, plastic, and glass plates for any occasion, a table with variable placemat choices, 5 bedrooms, 3 indoor seating areas (one in room), 4 bathrooms (each guest cottage and floor has their own), complete seclusion from the road, a portable speaker for the outdoor kitchen/pool area, a Weber grill, an industrial sized ice maker, a 6ft pool with water feature around the edge, parking for 4 cars, and more than I can list. We had an engagment, honeymoon, and wedding to celebrate; and this place was perfect for these occasions. When the weather looked dicey, we realized the ambience of the location made for a great plan B with the large covered patio. Shel was a great host, took care of anything we needed, and made our stay more delightful. Not only will we return to this company for visits, we will be calling this company when we decide to move to Key West.

You'll love this!

Exceptional property in the exclusive Truman Annex area. Location was fantastic. Close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood. Last Key Realty (Shel) was excellent to work with. He gave us great recommendations. Concierge service was also wonderful. Property is in brand new condition and well appointed. Perfect for a family of 3 or 4. We would definitely come again.

Amazing Property!

We have been coming down to Key West for spring break many of years with the whole family. We always stayed at Sunset Key. We decide to change it up. We are so glad we did, this property was AMAZING!!!! It had everything we were looking for!!! Everyone had there own space with the guest suits, great outdoor living and full kitchen area, beautifully pool and backyard. We could not ask for a better location close that you can walk/bike into town but far enough to have our privacy. The house has everything you want for tropical vacation. Shel Segel from Last Key Realty was a wonderful host making sure we felt right at home. Thank you again for making family memories for us!!! See you next year.

We would definitely use Last Key again

We rented Plantation Tropicale in early December, 2018 for a gathering of friends and family. The privately situated suites ensured a pleasant time for all. The luxuriously decorated pool area with covered patio allowed us to enjoy the outdoors at any time of day. The kitchen was complete, every device and tool we needed was there. The neighborhood was quiet yet within in easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Shel was as gracious as ever, meeting us on arrival and immediately attending to a door lock which wouldn't work.

Location Location Location

Shel Segel and Last Key Realty really hit our stay at Plantation Tropicale out of the park. We stayed from 1/05/19 through 1/12/19 and loved every minute of it. A few highlights: We loved the outdoor covered area and spent many hours talking and hanging out. We watching the NFL Playoffs at he outdoor bar and the kids LOVED the very large and inviting pool. We had issues with the pool heater and Shel and team went above and beyond to make it right for us, which made a very cold pool a non issue. Thanks again to Shel and enjoy this wonderful rental as our family did!

Located in the Truman Annex, a gated community with some of the most impressive homes in Key West, this meticulously furnished estate occupies an entire block, making it the largest single property in the Annex. Formerly referred to as "Plantation Tropicale," with three dwellings, two kitchens (one indoor, one outdoor), a very large pool and enough surrounding property to provide the ultimate in privacy, THE ROYAL COMPOUND provides an exclusively luxurious setting right in the heart of Old Town Key West.

THE LIVING AREA & INDOOR KITCHEN...

Inside, the main living area of THE ROYAL COMPOUND has four sets of French doors with large transoms that fill the whole space with light. There's also a large fireplace, unique in Key West. The formal dining table seats eight comfortably. A second sitting room is perfect if you want to be by yourself for a good read. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, and suitable for a professional chef, with double ovens, a huge Sub Zero fridge/freezer, ice maker and plenty of prep space.

THE PRIVATE POOL & OUTDOOR KITCHEN....

The pool area of THE ROYAL COMPOUND is unique. The spacious patio surrounding the pool is paved in Travertine, with room for eight chaises. Then, there's the pavilion-style porch that seems to float above the very large pool, with enough seating for the entire group under outdoor ceiling fans hung from the vaulted ceiling of the pavilion. The pool has a waterfall that flows from the edge of the porch. Very dramatic. Finally, there's the outdoor bar with a summer kitchen including a full refrigerator; large enough for a party or poolside BBQ any time.

Compliance with Truman Annex Community Rules & Regulations is expected of all Last Key guests. This includes “Quiet Time” in all outdoor areas, public and private, after 10PM.

We booked The Royal Compound in Key West for a 10 day vacation. The home is as wonderful as the photos show! We have several friends come stay a night or two while we where there. The location is wonderful and Shel, our personal assistant was wonderful. We will be back.

My whole family loved the house, The Royal Compound, we rented from Last Key Realty. It was so beautiful and clean. The pictures online are exactly what you're getting plus more. The main reason I chose that house was the beautiful outdoor area and pool along with room for all family members to have their own space. It was perfect! I had mentioned to my Last Key agent, Shel, that we were celebrating my mom's birthday and he had her a key lime pie with a birthday candle on it when we arrived. She was thrilled. It’s the little details that matter. Nothing compares to the service and experience that we received on our Key West vacation through Last Key Realty. I cannot recommend them enough. We will be returning!

Holy smokes...where do I begin? What a gorgeous house! From the moment we walked in we were blown away. The pool is insane, the outdoor area spacious, the 2 kitchens more than enough! It��s in a great area, far enough away to feel private and close enough to walk or bike anywhere. We have stayed at several Last Key homes in the last couple years and while all of them were awesome in their own ways, this one takes the key lime pie! ;)

Very impressed with Last Key Realty for our rental in Key West. The two homes we rented were beautiful, extremely clean and had a kitchens stocked with everything we needed for our large dinners at home. Last Key’s Conceirge went above and beyond to get us a last minute golf cart, reservations for dinner, scheduled delivery for breakfast and delivery of lunches packed and ready for our day out on the boat. Shel who had the homes ready before we arrived, checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and couldn’t be nicer! We absolutely will only rent from Last Key for all future trips to Key West. Thank you Last Key for making our trip amazing!

We rented the home for 9 nights and it was in excellent condition and surpassed our expectations. It is very spacious with much outdoors space, in door living space, and larger bedrooms so your group will not feel on top of each other. The extra space provided by the outdoor kitchen and outdoor living room really are enjoyable and useful. The kitchen is very well stocked for making lunches and dinners. The location is excellent for anything you would like to do in Key West. Rounding out the great experience is the management company. They are extremely organized and responsive and have a team willing to help you with anything that you need at the property and to plan any excursions or reservations - such an extra and helpful service. All in all an excellent experience.

My family and I have been renting homes through Last Key Realty for almost five years. We always know when we book through LKR that we will be well cared for, with each home being clean, properly maintained, and well stocked. We had the privilege of staying in the Royal Compound on our past visit. The children loved swimming in the large, warm pool and the adults enjoyed R&R under the open, covered porch. I highly recommend both Last Key Realty and the Royal Compound. Until next time, Key West!

We try to make it to Key West at least once every year. Five years ago we found Last Key and Shel! We are so glad we did! They are hands down the best! Shel is the greatest and super accommodating and always there if there is anything needed! To speak to The Royal Compound .. wow. Just wow. This immaculate property is beyond impressive. It is beautifully landscaped and secluded all while being a short walk from Duval life! (Even though we always get scooters and a cart lol!) We travel with a fairly large group, bringing together four households under one roof (or in this case one property). The Compound handled it with ease! No one was cramped or running over each other, we even had room to spare! As always, everything was perfect! We can not recommend The Compound and especially Last Key (and Shel!) enough!

The home at 101 Admirals Lane is the most perfect guest experience I've ever had. 2 fully equip kitchens make you want to run to Faustos' and cook dinner instead of dine out. The pool and lounge area are top knotch and the two guest cottages are great for multiple family privacy. If you need a crib, entertainment, someone to go grocery shopping for you, bikes delivered to the house, anything...Last Key will get it arranged. I was so surprised. The master guest cottage had a private lanai off the side and a vanity/closet setup that's anyone's dream. In house amenities include a Keurig, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, all the pots, pans, cutlery, bottle openers, spices, and small appliances you could think of, paper, plastic, and glass plates for any occasion, a table with variable placemat choices, 5 bedrooms, 3 indoor seating areas (one in room), 4 bathrooms (each guest cottage and floor has their own), complete seclusion from the road, a portable speaker for the outdoor kitchen/pool area, a Weber grill, an industrial sized ice maker, a 6ft pool with water feature around the edge, parking for 4 cars, and more than I can list. We had an engagment, honeymoon, and wedding to celebrate; and this place was perfect for these occasions. When the weather looked dicey, we realized the ambience of the location made for a great plan B with the large covered patio. Shel was a great host, took care of anything we needed, and made our stay more delightful. Not only will we return to this company for visits, we will be calling this company when we decide to move to Key West.

Exceptional property in the exclusive Truman Annex area. Location was fantastic. Close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood. Last Key Realty (Shel) was excellent to work with. He gave us great recommendations. Concierge service was also wonderful. Property is in brand new condition and well appointed. Perfect for a family of 3 or 4. We would definitely come again.

We have been coming down to Key West for spring break many of years with the whole family. We always stayed at Sunset Key. We decide to change it up. We are so glad we did, this property was AMAZING!!!! It had everything we were looking for!!! Everyone had there own space with the guest suits, great outdoor living and full kitchen area, beautifully pool and backyard. We could not ask for a better location close that you can walk/bike into town but far enough to have our privacy. The house has everything you want for tropical vacation. Shel Segel from Last Key Realty was a wonderful host making sure we felt right at home. Thank you again for making family memories for us!!! See you next year.

We rented Plantation Tropicale in early December, 2018 for a gathering of friends and family. The privately situated suites ensured a pleasant time for all. The luxuriously decorated pool area with covered patio allowed us to enjoy the outdoors at any time of day. The kitchen was complete, every device and tool we needed was there. The neighborhood was quiet yet within in easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Shel was as gracious as ever, meeting us on arrival and immediately attending to a door lock which wouldn't work.

Shel Segel and Last Key Realty really hit our stay at Plantation Tropicale out of the park. We stayed from 1/05/19 through 1/12/19 and loved every minute of it. A few highlights: We loved the outdoor covered area and spent many hours talking and hanging out. We watching the NFL Playoffs at he outdoor bar and the kids LOVED the very large and inviting pool. We had issues with the pool heater and Shel and team went above and beyond to make it right for us, which made a very cold pool a non issue. Thanks again to Shel and enjoy this wonderful rental as our family did!
