Our Staff

Team Last Key Realty

At Last Key Realty, we are a small team of Realtors, Property Managers, and Business Associates who are passionate about Key West, our homes, and our guests. Once you are here in Key West with us, we thrive off of meeting you and getting to know you. Until then, here are some quick introductions to who we are and how we got to paradise.

Hometown: Massapequa, New York on Long Island

Professional Background before Last Key: Owned and operated an ad agency for 28 years. The agency grew to a staff of about a hundred people and specialized in broadcast advertising.

Why Key West? Where else in America can you find tropical weather, sophisticated culture, and a community of truly strange and wonderful people?

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Hogfish Bar & Grille, as quirky as Key West is, Hogfish is part of an even more individualistic subculture, with a community of artists and artisans making their living out of what used to be shrimpers' shacks.

Favorite Key West Activity: Cycling up the Keys on US 1 on my "Orbea" Time Trial Bike. It's a very zen experience riding at about 20 mph with the tropical breeze at your back, the Atlantic Ocean on one side, and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.

Why Last Key Realty? At first, it was our accidental business. We just were trying to find a better way to manage our own vacation rental homes, which were staying vacant for months at a time. After the first couple of years, it became a passion. And now, it's a way of life for us.

    Hometown: Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada

Professional Background before Last Key: M.A. in Art History from NYU Institute of Fine Arts

Why Key West? Relaxed atmosphere and perfect weather.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Latitudes, it's like going to your own private Florida Keys island experience.

Favorite Key West Activity: Walking on the Smathers Beach "boardwalk" because the vista is so refreshing - every morning it's like a new day.

Why Last Key Realty? Somebody had to keep the office organized! :)

From the cold climes of Maine, I first visited Key West in 1976 and knew immediately that I wanted to live here. In 1989, I got an employment opportunity that brought me here part time. Then in 1996, I found a full time opportunity. Today it would take an overwhelming winch to get me out of here. It’s a great place to live.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: The best food in the lower Keys is at the Square Grouper at MM 22. If you prefer to stay in Key West, Michaels has the best steaks. For elegant dining overlooking the water, the Commodore is my favorite.

Favorite Key West Activity: Spending time with friends. I’ve never had as many wonderful friends as here in Key West.

Why Last Key? In 2008, I was fortunate to be one of the founders of Last Key Realty. Since then the company has been enormously successful at creating first-class vacation experiences for our customers, enhancing the values of the properties entrusted to our care, and creating a work family of dedicated, happy employees who take pride in their work. Last Key is the best!

    Hometown: Virginia Beach, Virginia

Professional Background before Last Key: Worked for a major consulting firm, GWU graduate

Moved to Key West in 2012, but have been visiting since my mom brought me in her pregnant belly. My first ice cream was at Flamingo Crossing on Duval Street when I was less than 1 year old! Key West has been an important part of my life and my happiness for as long as I can remember.

Why Key West? Wherever I am in the world, when I close my eyes and go to my "happy place" it has always been Key West - the weather, the scenery, the food, the colorful people who are all so accepting of each other - life is the way it should be here.

Favorite Key West Restaurant:  Too many to call a favorite, Key West has become a true foodie's paradise - if I had to plan it, my ultimate foodie day would be brunch at Firefly or Blue Heaven, lunch at Garbo’s Grill or Bien, and dinner at Cafe Sole.

Favorite Key West Activity: Being out on the water! A boat trip to a sand bar with a cooler full of beverages and food is the ultimate Key West day for me.

Why Last Key Realty? I truly believe in the mission of Last Key and in my team - I am inspired to treat our guests to the same magic we all first experienced when we first came to the Keys, and I love what I do - work does not feel like work when it's your passion!!

Hometown: Centreville, Maryland (Let's go O's!)

Professional Background before Last Key: Commercial Research Manager, FSU graduate

The year I FIRST moved to Key West was 2003. My aunt lived in Key West when I was growing up. I knew the first time I ever visited while swinging on the rope swing in Blue Heaven that I would call this island my home.

Why Key West? I remember being 7 years old and telling my aunt I was going to move here. Great atmosphere, perfect weather, and a bar on every corner :)

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Prime 951, they have an excellent wine list, old chop house style with the best steaks and martinis in town.  The Oyster Rock is perfection.

Favorite Key West Activity: Laying on the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor with a book and my dog.  Nothing beats a good book and a hammock.

Why Last Key Realty? They're the best.

    Hometown: Sharonville, Ohio

Professional Background before Last Key: I studied Management Information Systems and Business Administration at Miami University. After college, I worked as a Human Resource Director for an office equipment sales and service company. Once in Key West, I worked as a Bartender at Margaritaville Cafe, Pepe's Cafe and Shanna Key Irish Pub. I then moved on to Event and Wedding Coordinator with Love In Bloom Florist before making my way to the amazing Last Key Realty team!

I have been in Key West for 15 years now. The sun and sand is what brought me to paradise, but it’s the people and the relaxed, laid back vibe that keeps me here.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: I have so many favorites! Pepe’s Cafe is top of my list for any meal. Everything is super fresh, especially the oysters and the fresh squeezed lime margaritas!

Favorite Key West Activity: Taking a leisurely ride around the island on my bicycle and basking in the sun.

Why Last Key Realty? The high standards Last Key Realty holds itself to is what drew me to the company. We truly care about our guests and strive to provide them with exceptional service. Also, I love to meet new friends and introduce them to my little piece of paradise!

Professional Background before Last Key: Owner and Operator of various businesses, including multiple Hotels and a Florist Shop. Also, worked as a professional Musician for many years.

Moved to Key West in 1975 and as for why...it wasn't Detroit.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Azur restaurant is as good as it gets and its off the beaten track.

Favorite Key West Activity: Eating out and as for why....I love eating out.

Why Last Key Realty? They were the only ones dumb enough to hire me.

    Hometown: Lafayette, Indiana

Professional Background before Last Key:  I wouldn't say it was professional but my favorite job before Last Key was working for years for a water sports company called "Sunny Days Catamarans", I learned everything you could want to know about being in and on the water around Key West.

Moved to Key West over 7 years ago, left for a short stint, now I'm back!

Why Key West? I came to this island paradise for a vacation and left just long enough to pack up and move here for good. With our wild, fun and loving people and a festival for any occasion we truly are "One Human Family".

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Carolines.  They have delicious food and it's a great people watching spot.

Favorite Key West Activity:  Bike rides around the island and being able to ride my bike anywhere I want to go!

Why Last Key? I love getting to share my love of Key West with guests who come from all over the world.

    Hometown: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Professional Background before LKR: Property Manager, Southernmost Beach Resort

I moved to Key West in May of 2007 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was sort of a “what the heck, let’s do it!” mentality that brought me here.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Azur for brunch, they have delicious food and Bellini’s. I also love Italian food so Roostica for their pizza is another favorite.

Favorite Key West Activity: I enjoy the fact that I can ride my bike just about anywhere. When not on land, my favorite is a summer time sunset boat ride!

Why Last Key Realty? I've worked in the hospitality industry for many years and was ready for a change. I now get to combine my love of helping guests have their dream vacation and my passion for beautiful homes and architecture.

    Hometown: Cooper City, Florida

Professional Background before Last Key: I worked for another Vacation Rental Company, before that I worked on Pools, before that I designed eyeglasses.

Moved to Key West in February 2010.

Why Key West? Needed a change of pace and I love being near the ocean.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Bien for lunch, La Trattoria for dinner.

Favorite Key West Activity: Going diving and bike rides with my wife and our dog.

Why Last Key Realty? I look forward to the Guest Services part of my job every day. I like meeting people from all over and helping them to enjoy Key West the way they should.

    Hometown: Cornelius, North Carolina

Professional Background before Last Key: Events Director, UNC graduate

I first moved to Key West in July 2008 from Chapel Hill, North Carolina shortly after graduating from College. I chose living in paradise instead of going to law school, grad school or to Washington, DC. It was the sunshine and frost free tropical environment which brought me here.

Why Key West? There is no other place quite like Key West. Everyone here is a character. The community very much goes by the “live and let live” mentality which I love. Bright tropical colors are everywhere here which suits my neon personality perfectly. When you make friends here you make friends for life, and I’m delighted to live full time with the “One Human” Key West family again.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Hot Tin Roof for the best brunch on the island. I love their unlimited mimosas and small plates which include fresh oysters, mussels and shrimp cocktail. My local favorite spot for dinner is still Tavern N Town. They have incredible gourmet dishes that look and taste like intricate works of art. The luxurious atmosphere and all-star staff cannot be beat!

Favorite Key West Activity: Anything that involves a full day of sunshine and the ocean. I love a full boat day to Snipes or Marvin but I have to say my all time favorite Key West activity is a day trip to the Dry Tortugas. The quiet serenity and unbelievable beauty of the crystal clear blue ocean out there at Fort Jefferson is like nothing else on earth. I highly recommend it!

Why Last Key Realty? As an event planner at heart, I am so lucky to get to combine all of professional experiences in welcoming guests to our wonderful island. Last Key Realty and I share a desire to exceed expectations and to be the best. I’m grateful to work for such an awesome company with an incredibly dedicated team!

    Hometown: Sidney, New York

Professional Background before Last Key: Before coming to work for Last Key Realty, I was an owner of a 3rd generation mechanical contracting company since 1982.

We've been in KW since Fall of 2015. After having a brain tumor removed in September of 2013, I decided the daily stress of the family owned mechanical contracting business might have been too much. (maybe raising four daughters might have been a slight problem as well) We decided to sell my interest in the family business and try something different. We vacationed in KW for a number of years and we thought the weather here is so much nicer than the "doom and gloom" of upstate NY. So we decided to make the transition.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: I like Carolines on Duval. (AKA "The Office") The food is good, but the drinks and the people watching is the best in KW.

Favorite Key West Activity: I would have to say my favorite KW activity would be scooter riding. Its just awesome to be riding around the island on an 85 degree sunny day with no place to go.

Why Last Key Realty? Last Key Realty was a perfect fit for me as we already had a relationship with the company managing our condo for us for the prior three years. With that, we also knew most of the employees and that we would fit in well with these folks for the same common goal.

    Hometown: Mt. Upton, New York

Professional Background before Last Key: I worked in my husband’s 3rd generation family business as the Group Benefits Administrator and the Bookkeeper. Then, I served on the Sidney School board for 9 years, 5 of those as Vice President. Then after 2 devastating floods in our community in 5 years, I served as a Village Trustee for the next 4 years.

In September of 2015, after selling out of a family business that we had been in for 30 years, we moved to Key West. We have been coming for the last 10 years on vacations and my husband knew that this is where he wanted to land for a while.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: There are many wonderful restaurants in Key West. I particularly enjoy Louie's Backyard for the wonderful view and inviting atmosphere.

Favorite Key West Activity: There is always something going on in Key West. The best thing to do is take in the culture and diversity of the island. There are many great and unique events that happen here during all times of the year.

Why Last Key Realty? My husband Jamie and I have owned vacation rental property here for a few years now. Last Key Realty has been instrumental in the success of our rental investment. Chris and Sharon and the team have built an amazing company and when we decided that we were going to come to Key West, we immediately knew that we wanted to work for Last Key Realty. To our delight, they welcomed us with open arms.

    Hometown: Lakeland, Florida

Professional Background before Last Key: Merchandiser for The Home Depot, UNF graduate

I moved to Key West by way of Jacksonville in May to be closer to my girlfriend and family, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The weather, the people, the scenery, the atmosphere… it doesn’t get any better than Key West!

Why Key West? I grew up vacationing here and always had a fascination with this place, so when the opportunity to move here presented itself I couldn’t pass it up.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Santiago’s Bodega. They have the best Happy Hour on the island and an incredible selection of food on their menu.

Favorite Key West Activity: Enjoying some Vitamin D and “Sea” out on the water or at Fort Zach!

Why Last Key? Last Key has such an amazing rapport with its’ guests! I wanted to be part of a company that values the same things I do, as well as to gain exposure in various aspects of the real-estate business. I also love the family-like atmosphere of our team.

    Hometown: Chalmette/Mandeville, Louisiana

Professional Background before Last Key: Prior to moving to paradise. I taught 7th grade social studies in St. Bernard Parish Public Schools from 1993-2005. Post Hurricane Katrina, I owned and operated a private security firm that catered to the film industry in the New Orleans metro area a.k.a. "Hollywood South".

Moved to Key West in April of 2012. While visiting Key West on a milestone birthday trip, I fell in love with this magical little island's charm, weather, friendly people, and small town vibe. Within a year and a half after that visit, I became a permanent resident.

Favorite Key West Restaurant: Blue Heaven – "Heaven" is in the name for a reason!

Favorite Key West Activity: Sunsets at Fort Zachary Taylor never get old. This activity provides me with a profound feeling of gratitude for being able to live on the coast of somewhere beautiful.

Why Last Key Realty? It is a pleasure working collectively toward the same goal – providing dream vacation accommodations for our guests.
